It's looks sort of like a sad face to me lol
I think you need to curve out the front section of the wheel wells, by the bumper, so that it looks more rounded. The edge of the hood and fenders, by the headlights, just looks too bulky, IMO. Then again this is coming from an art student lol I do give you the props on the body work and try to do it though! ![]() |

hey for do it yourself in your backyard, I give you credit. but it does need more work to be clean.
I assume you plan on swapping in the 3s into this car seeing that it has no motor.. prob going to be a bit more of a pain with front bumper molded to the body ![]() -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

Bondo is not the product to use on any panel that will flex, fiber glass products is what you should have used for such a big job. They do make a special filler for bumpers, but that should be used for minor defects in a bumper. Being that the filler is so thick it will be even more prone to cracking should have built it up with a hair type product then used the filler for the top coat. Filler has it's place on more structural panel's though, and you hardly ever want to exceed a 1/4 of an inch thick on those, to add lots of moisture will cause it to fail aswell.
Wish ya the best of luck, did bodywork from the age of 15 till i was 21yrs old i have seen alot of stuff missed used. I like the concept, just hope it last more than 1-5months of driving. -------------------- ![]() Cleaning and improving my new found yoter little by little. |

yeah i realize it needs a lot more work, but im in the military and dont have the car cause cant work on it here.
I will most likely leave it like this for a while, and after i get the 3s running good ill take it down to NC and paint it after i fix the shaping of it all Think its pretty good for having like 2 weeks to work on it in the freezing cold. -------------------- |

Are you concerned about clearance for the front bumper? The car will lower at least two inches once a 3S is in it, and with stock suspension it seems like it would bounce enough to impact ground with a little bump. Stiffer suspension would minimize bounce but then I imagine maybe two inches of clearance. Mainly speaking of the area that ends in the front wheel arch.

Yeah, I am just going to deal with it as it comes. Hopefully It doesn't hit the ground with the engine just in lol. Ill end up getting coil overs at some point before the car is on the road (wont be for another year or so). Right now I am just having the engine put in, then I will get the exhaust done somewhere. BTW is there any "chain" shops that will do a custom exhaust, or do I need to go to some custom place.
And I will let you know death if I come into any problems. -------------------- |

I have a guy locally at Red I Imports that will do it for a price. He'll do any type of pipe, muffler, or what ever. You give him what you want and he'll throw it together. I'm having him build me a custom downpipe for my Tanabe G-Power header come spring. I used 2.5 cans, but used it on the rear and redid alot of the sides as well -------------------- |

I haven't been on the forums in a long time.. but this is one of the things i really missed.. these kinds of major projects and seeing the progress and people going out of the "norm" to do custom work.. I can't wait to see more pics and ultimately the finished product. Awesome!
