Here where i live in puerto rico, most of the young people switch from toyota to either honda, nissan or mazda. The excuse is mostly i couldn't afford my honda so i just bougth a toyota because its cheaper. I've always been a toyota guy along with my whole family. I want to hear from people who switched over from a honda or nissan to toyota and what made them make the decision to switch.

I don't mean im saying that, its just what everyone tells me jajaja, i mean personally, toyotas are the superior brand, but i've seen a lot of civic shells go for $3000 or more, especially the integra type r shell with absolutely nothing in it, no motor, seats, interior nothing.

I'm parting out my project which is a cb7 i just got burnt out on them i've messed with them since 07. Both toyota and honda are ver reliable no doubt hondas parts are cheaper and plentiful compared to yotas.

Ive had alittle bit of everything lol
I started wiyh good ol American muscle. I have a 71 Chevy nova witch was my first car an i still own it
But the first import i had was actually a 94 celica st an the only reason i sold it was because we had our son an his car seat wouldn't fit so i traded it for a 91 integra ls got bord with the look of it an traded it for a 94 civic coupe fixed it up some but just couldnt get into the whole honda thing an ended up trading that for a 91 celica gt but it was in rough shape an finally died on me one day on my way to work so i ended up trading it an my 86 5.0 mustang in on a 97 vw jetta witch was a nice looking but super slow car. Around that same time i traded my traxxas slash( remote control truck) for a 92 civic hatch shell an was pretty that for a b16a swap when i had a women slam on her brakes infront of me an totalled my jetta so i ended up trading the civic shell for a 90 nissan 240sx an got a 98 civic 4door out of the jetta. Ended up trading the the 240sx for a 00 ford escort zx2 that was modded fairly well( fastest track time to date is that car 14.2 in a quarter) but had title issues with the escort so i traded the kid back for a eagle talon an sold that to a buddy the same night.
Desided to give the honda thing one more time with the civic 4door
Did a bunch of work to the car as a whole. It could take down d seires vtec civics easy an it didnt even have vtec lol. Was gathering info to do a .f22a1 swap on it an got A offer from a friend for more cash than i had in the car so i sold it an bought the 94 celica gt coupe witch is now the wife's( i still drive it everyday) an i now have 94 1mz swapped celica hatch an cant be happier!

oh an somewhere in all that theres another 92 mustang, 4.honda accords,91 civic si,89 firebird,90f150,an about a dozen or so more i dont care to list all them off lol
An everything above is from 08 to now

But to sum it all up an actually answer your question i ended up bad in the yota because none of the rest of the( except my nova) felt as good or were as much fun to drive as the celicas are

That quite a track record man! Im impressed! You know, usually when someone goes to buy a car that ask for the carfax. In your case do the cars ask for a car-owner fax? Jajaja
My first car was a 1980 mitsubishi champ, i loved that, got amazing gas mileage. But someone stole. I've had my 95 corolla since 06, never looked back, cars been great, knew that if i ever got a project car it would be a toyota. Acquired my 94 celica gt in 2011 and recently got a 84 civic hatch for my wife.
