What is your opinion on the condition of this bumper? Would you sell it?

The reason I ask is because I recently purchased it from boostedricer. I was told that this bumper had minor issues. When I received it I noticed it was covered in bondo and missing/broken tabs. This is junk!!! Funny thing is that i paid $50 for the bumper and 125 for shipping. The kid thinks i'm bogus for wanting a full refund. Your thoughts please!!!

If it were me I wouldn't try to sell it, if anything I'd probably just try to give it away. All of that should've been disclosed before it was sold, far from having minor issues.

Take more effort and money to fix it than it's worth. If he lied or was miss leading (Hope you keep your conversations) then i'd say you deserve your money back. Bondo on flexible pieces is a no no.

I was also cheated by boostedricer. I saw that bumper on the car. Was no molded on. It was untouched. I even showed him how to remove it. The kid is a complete idiot. He was tugging on it before i showed him the clips to pull it off. Again there was nothing wrong with it when i saw it. Id decline payment. And allow him to pick up the charges. He sells drugs, so he should have the money to cover it.

Maybe he did sell him a bum bumper and and cheated you as well, but it shouldnt be a reason to say that he sells drugs. No need for that kind of accusation on this forum. Lets keep it clean and respectful here.

^ No kidding, jumping to a little conclusions if you ask me.
IMO, when he said, "has minor issues" you should have looked into it closer, asking what was wrong with it, pictures, etc.
And also, if he didn't know how to take it off, should have maybe asked me pics after it was off the car to make sure it was up to your standards.

Not saying he is right, as something definately went wrong here, but this is why everyone says to do your research before purchasing online.

The bumper was cracked previously.(last pic) Thats why theres bondo. No body shop would even think about touching this. My point is this bumper should not have been advertised and was definately not worth $175. Kid told me that my expectations are too high.

You're right it wasn't worth 175, and you didn't pay 175, you paid 50 for the bumper and 125 to ship.
He doesn't see any of the shipping costs, only the 50 bucks.

It wouldnt surprise me if he made money on shipping as well. The whole deal was just bad.

dang bro, maybe it will buff out.

unfortunately, the bumper is not worth a dime.

the 125 shipping, may be a bit too high, i paid 60 bucks to ship a bumper out.

classic example of asking for pics before you send money...

i would do a paypal claim.

and lets not make any accusations, just report him to moderators, if he does not address this problem, maybe he is forbidden from

The pictures sent to my phone are small. This is definitely not in sellable condition. I already filed a paypal dispute. We'll see where that goes.

Let us know how this turns out with PayPal. Will the seller return your money - but the majority cost is shipping to and from which seller is not responsible.

Regardless, an inexpensive lesson in life that may save you significant bucks on any future deals.

It will always be a buyer beware law of the land when purchasing used parts.

Good Luck!

Yeah I will. He just denied my dispute so I'll escalate to a paypal claim and let them resolve it. I dislike dealing with kids.

I thought I was going to save money by getiing a used original bumper. Ends up that I should have just had the body shop take care of it. Basically I could have spent $50-75 more for a reconditioned bumper. When he told the cost for shipping, that's when I specifically said it needs to be in good condition with minor flaws. He said the paint cracked, not that its covered in Bondo and the Bondo is what cracked off. This deal is bogus and should have happened. I would never sell junk that's not worth your time or mine.

So I shipped the bumper back and paypal refunded me the full amount. Funny thing is that it only cost me $55.03 to ship it back, not $125.81. I ended up losing $55.03 instead of $175.81. Just in case if you haven't figured it out by now, stay away from boostedricer! Kid is a joke. Thank god I paid with paypal.
