I don't feel like I have to pay someone to do such a simple job. I mean it's a simple job but not having a couple grand of dollars to spend on a machine. I've heard about the bubble balancer? Has anyone tried it out? Is it accurate enough? Or is it just best to take it into a shop and get it balanced?

I've got one but I've never had much luck with it. I would just take it to a shop. It's not as good as what the shop has because they check balance with the tire spinning. I only use mine to balance trailer tires.

Doesn't cost that much, think local place only charges $5 a tire to mount and balance. Of course prices may vary from place to place.

The Discount Tire by my house balances tires for free if you bring the wheels in already off the car. You definately need to have it done by a shop with a machine. Dynamic and static balance are two different things.

This is probably the best answer I've read online. Lol. Thanks. Now I know that it's inaccurate because it's not balanced while spinning. smile.gif
