Though, if you're willing to spend $207 each can get Enkei RPF1 from Tire Rack. Which is what I'd do.

and an 800 dollar budget would keep you only in the Enkei, Rota, range for the most part, Used Market or less legitimate wheel selections.

Out of all of those, the Enkei RPF-1 are the best suited for performance -- they're light, at ~15-16 lbs for a 17" wheel as compared to the 22 lbs for the tC wheels (though I have to admit I prefer the look of the tC wheels).

I just bought some new rims for my celica I went with Rota Grids. Mainly because they are cheap, light and nice looking wheels.
I haven't got them on yet but here is a pic: |

^ No you don't, Rota wheels have been known to fail. Don't buy cheap knockoff wheels...

There are plenty of 7th gen Celica GT-S wheels on eBay for $100 each. Someone even has a set on there for low start bid, would go after them if it wasn't for the fact I have new tires already. Could just repaint them white.

Just a reminder that if you get the 7gc gts rims you are stuck with MAG Seat lugs only. Therefor you won't be able to buy them aftermarket acorn seat lugs. I have yet to find an aftermarket mag seat for my 7gc gts rims besides extended(closed), black(closed), or black&extended(closed). That's the only downside.

nice looking rims. Yes I"ve heard and been advised by members not to buy rota wheels. If you are tracking the car then now way, but if its for dd. go ahead.
Just hate the fact that most rota rims are from +45 to +55 offset. so you need large spacers. -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

You'll have the same issue with the TC wheels or 7th gens, they will all be sunk in like crazy, and look brutal unless your throw a huge spacer on it.
But since you're in the market for new wheels, size them properly and you'll be able to avoid using spacers. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

Just hate the fact that most rota rims are from +45 to +55 offset. so you need large spacers. Im sure rota offers much more aggressive fitments like than that. thats why they are so popular. You can get a wheel that looks like an Volk CE28N and is offered in a much wider variety of fitments that Volk doesnt offer for 5x100's. regardless I vote against rota's This post has been edited by Tigawoods: Jul 13, 2012 - 1:26 PM -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

ugh there is nothing wrong with rotas. they are never going to fail unless you're in a bad crash.
and guess what? i have both wedssports and works. spending $3k+ on wheels makes sense on a m3 or nsx, but not on a celica. |
