So I have a 96 Celica GT with a ported/polished head with colt cams and dyno-tuned. I guess my exhaust setup was a 2". Anyway, I have a perf. header, and everything else hi flow name brand stuff header back.

Flex pipe was rotting and leaking, cat welds were cracking and leaking, straight pipe from cat to reso was leaking, and piping from reso to muffler blew/leaking. Yeah really shi**y exhaust. So anyway got it all repaired today from custom exhaust shop and they did a very nice and clean set up with all new piping and really clean welds. They also opened up the exhaust to 2 and 1/4". Now that my car is all back together and sealed real nice, it's very snappy with the cams and tuning and gain a couple lower octaves too lol.

Just thought I'd share...I think a non-leaking exhaust setup really does add that much more fun to a cam'd celi.

not bad, just thought you'd get the 2.25 exhaust since you had the cams installed. THe 2" one is not much from stock size. I agree that extra diameter will make your exhaust sound different, had the same result when I got my downpipe done. my headers and exhaust were installed but the stock downpipe is like for spit balls.
