I'm looking forward to the parts build and getting this thing back from the machine shop so I can start the blueprint!

i think well let you handle that. my inputs are "bigger pistons","beefier rods", "bigger cams", basically the whole "MORE POWAAAA" things.

Few more pics from Bobby's swap. No particular order here because there are so many, but enjoy. It's amazing what you can get done in a day without an engine hoist!

I get the distinct feeling since there was no lift, there was a plethora of cussing. Even with a lift there's bound to be cussing. laugh.gif

not as much swearing as youd think. it was a pain with the 4 of us. thankfully bobbys brother and friends helped move the shell and get the motor up on the stand

Haha, sort of. I work M-F. I'm just always on call, but I can handle most things from anywhere, especially if there's wireless access.

missed yet another celica meet. Im disappointed in myself that i have yet to show my face at these meets. I owe it to you guys to be there but in the end, working is going to get the 3s in the car. Not trying to avoid you guys and hope you can understand i cant miss work so i can get this swap done quick. Well im done sucking up to you bastads lol but Should actually have sunday off so lets get this thing torn to pieces so i can start painting the block and get the hard part over. Intercooler should be here in a couple weeks. Major things i still need to do are......

source a E153 Transmission, Axles, clutch kit and Wiring harness converted. Also Ben has extra piping so hopefully i can get the exhaust planned out soon.

Ordering, Bearings, Pistons, Rods and Studs From realstreetperformance.com Within two weeks as well as visiting the machine shop smile.gif
Full Gasket set, timing and water pump.
Water Meth Injection, Three Pod Guages, Turbo timer, Fuel Pump.
Berk Downpipe
Possibly a nicer radiotor like a KOYO.
Would Love to Dynamat the whole inside but haven't done the research quite yet
Member on here is trading me his Precision Front Mount, including an ebay BOV (but will probably upgrade that) and all the intercooler piping already measured up and ready to go For my Top Mount.

Let me Know what im missing guys. Im tired as hell from a long day at work but felt like rambling lol. Seriously would love to hear you guys chime in and tell me what you think. I know I know i like hearing myself type. smile.gif

haha, i refer to turbo timers as kitchen timers. something that can be useful but never needed. they are used to allow the engine to run at idle to allow the oil to cool the turbo, thus reducing wear on it. Not needed as long as your not beating the living crap out of it and then just shutting it off. simply driving like a human being for the last mile or so till you park does the trick. though i know when this swap is done that will be the last thing on your mind.
