so I swapped in an LSD e153 this past weekend ( a total bitch project so far) and the damned thing wont completely disengage. I was told a GT slave cylinder would be fine to use, so I used that, I also have a GT master cylinder installed so maybe that is the problem? I have the peddle inside the car adjusted so far that the bolt isn't even touching it anymore.
seriously need help I'm sick of all of these problems Ive been having... Kevin |

could be the clutch, the GT slave and master should work just fine. Or you can get one of these

Could be that you need to bleed it more, but the extended push rod is a good idea. I have had one in my car for a while.

okay thanks guys,
my dad said he can make one real quick tomorrow. I'll go ahead and replace the master tonight as well... even though its only a year old, Its possible its not working properly. the salve, which was bought at the same time, went out last month. while I was in Japan last year my dad replaced them with 'oem aftermarket' parts... so they could have been just really cheap. I literally just went through this process. Same exact problem, the new clutch would not disengage completely thus I couldn't shift into gear. In my case the stiffer pressure plate simply caused the old seals in my master to finally give out. So after a convoluted process finally I installed a new master cylinder and the problem went away. The key is to vacuum bleed the system; the old fashioned two man approach tears up the seals in a new cylinder too much and you end up where you started. Which is exactly what happened to me . So buy one of these when you install your new master:

okay, thanks guys, so my dad is still going to make me that extended push rod, and I think it should still help...
replaced the master cylinder and it totally did help. though I still have a little stiffness in the shifting, and on rare occasions it likes to grab in 1st. but I am going to try another bleed (this time with a vacuum) as I have a cool way to do it with a shop vac lol. on top of that I will try to top off the trans oil (I have had bad luck with the right side seal). anyway I hope that gets everything! Ill let you know later on in the week |

you know you can rebuild them for much cheaper than replacing.
