that looks really awesome, but I think they way over-simplified the making of a 7age, if only it were as easy as they made it sound

12psi should be ok with gze pistons if you are careful and know what you're doing. At boost pressures that high and higher there is very little margin for error. Even a little detonation will kill the engine in a hurry.

ha, hopefully I will know what I'm doing by that time. Like I said earlier, I am just thinking out loud right now.

However, partgathering begins soon. Hey speed toe, are you going with a custom piston\rodset up on your 7a you are building?

Dang i though i was the only person crazy enough to tune a 7a motor. good luck with the turbo project as for me im going to see how much power i can squeeze out of a NA 7A.

Learning the hard way ehh... *thinks to self and cries* I had a partially built all-motor 7AFE at one point also... to think... all of that money into headwork, machining, bolt-ons, tuning, etc... only to be as fast as Stock Integra GSR's and Civic SI's... not to discourage you, considering I still had a lot I could have done. I didn't touch the bottom-end and could have gone with high lift/duration cams and tuned it better... good luck to ya...

FallenHero:
200whp going Turbo isn't too difficult. Just take your time, plan things, and do them right, with proper tuning etiquette, and patience... it's very possible. Remember this simple rule tho... the more boost you push, the more fuel you'll need... =D

because our cars look better, and are more fun. Plus, a 200whp celica will spank a mustang of any sort short of a cobra.

and a challenge is way more fun

also, I'd rather not have a car just like everyone else on the road, I don't know how it is where you live but I hardly ever see modified Celicas around here so I've got something that's unique

not a 99+ mustang gt with 3.73 rear end, intake, exhaust, and off road h pipe.

my cuz's stang ran 13's like that and had great acceleration no matter what speed he was going and there was still a lot of things he could have done to the car.

from a roll, mustang gt's with stock rear ends cant pass me

i know that they are cheep and everywhere, but dont downplay mustang gt's. they have a lot of potential and great response to mods.

yeah, my bros got a mustang gt and he gets all 5.0 magazines. in case you guys dont know, they make anything and everything for mustangs and good parts are relatively cheap. they make s\c and t\c kits for them and they look cool. i get to drive it a lot and its fast obviously, and i feel the rush, but then i try to make a quick turn and wish i was back in my celi.

edit: btw, you guys that were talking about levelten.com i tried calling them and one other place about rebuilding my trany for like 5 days straight and never got a call back.

Well, the main reason I havn'tsold my car is because I LOVE the way it looks... just plain evil. IF it wasn't for that I would have a S-13 240 dusting all with an SR-20 I am still considering a 4age head swap along with my turbo set up. It's an easy way to get better response and 10-20 more hp.

My dad is like "you don't need to re-build your engine! it's not even smoking."

He just doesn't understand...

not much if you do it yourself.

a dealer will charge you around $400

plugs and fluids and the "checking" of things, i.e., wipers look good, brake fluid is topped off, that sort of crap they charge you for

well,I was thinking more along the lines of the engine.

when my car goes into a low gear and I am at about 3k RPM's I can hear a clicking under the hood.

I don't think that's a good sign... you know?
