I was looking for a 2nd gen RX-7 on Ebay (I wont explain why...), then I came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...1&category=6327

Isn't that kinda fishy?

somebody's getting screwed here. What does the right to purchase a rx-8 mean? Does that mean that you are paying $1000+ dollars for being able to purchase the car when it comes out?

Eh, ive seen it b4......like when the new mini coopers first came out, they had auctions to reserve one b4 they released it, i guess if you really want one the minute it is released, then its not a bad idea to get your foot in the door this way. But seriously, who wants to spent 1k on holding a spot in line when you would get the car in the same ammount of time from the dealer???? rolleyes.gif

That car's hot! I love Mazda's and Toyota's....always something new and exciting...although Toyota has kind of pissed me off on the newer MR@'s cuz they don't jump up and get the f*** goin like the older ones....also they should've kept going with the Supra. That car had some serious get up and go juice in it.

they do this on alot of new cars, its like when you reserve a new video game for 5 bucks, only you don't get your reserve taken off the price of the car.

This isnt true. The same amount of time? The guy across my street now has a red 350z because he didn't reserve a silver one and he kept missing out when they came in. He finally gave up and reserved the next one that came in, which was red, and after driving it he couldnt let it go. Reserving a new car gets you the car faster than not reserving it.. unless you are lucky.
