Manufacturing defect, thats why most decent parts come with a warranty, just in case. If its a week old then it sounds very likely that its the fault.

Well you can take power off of the antenna, or the cig ligher...or just get a really long piece of wire and go from the the battery to the pump, may be ghetto but all your doing is testing.

continuously searching the forums I find a ton of people who have had the same problems as me almost to the T and no one has ever posted if they have resolved it or not. And the weirdest thing is these people are almost always from florida

oh also since its a 94 can i jumper the fp from the diagnostics box to keep it on?
NM I found it B+ and FP. When I jump it the pump constantly stays on. so what does that mean? This post has been edited by gotian: Aug 11, 2012 - 5:17 PM |

The injectors are controlled by the ECU and I believe the NE+ signal from the Distributor |

His starts and runs, but only for a few seconds.
The ECU uses a signal from the camshaft position sensor inside the distributor to time the spark for the ignition system and to fire the injectors Its all explained here, plus alot of other good information http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h25.pdf On page 8 it explains the part we are specifically talking about, and explains about losing NE signal while running in the chart. You can check for NE signal at the Diagnostic port. Place one end of a multimeter onto a suitable ground and the other lead onto the NE connection. Set your multimeter to check for continuity(it should beep every time you touch the leads together in this setting). Now crank the engine and see if the NE signal is working. |
