alright this is just plain dumb why are the there companys that make headers for the st but no one well take the time to make one for the gt you would think they would seeing how the gt makes more power it would be logical to make more parts for it in the first place manufacturers are missing out we want the parts but they dont make them , on ebay there was a couple sets that said 95-99 celica gt race header , and i talked to the company and now there they are reposted on there as of course 2000+ gt header so there was hope but now gone ,

i was just wondring how many people with gt 's would buy a set of headers if they were actually made for our years gt's as long as the price isnt to high

Who makes a header for the ST? I know that there are headers for the 7A-FE, but they're for Corollas and require modification to fit. wink.gif

I would be down with a group buy for a GT header. Thing is that, someone needs a hook up to get these produced.

I would definately be down if i could get a decent header for the GT....but that would probably never happen, or not anytime soon anyway. You're better off getting a header from a Camry or MR2, and then doing custom piping.

EDIT- actually youre best bet is to use a Pacesetter header for earlier celicas with the 3SFE engine...they will work with the 5SFE cuz their blocks are the same layout, but will need some modification of course. But if you wanted to, theres Camry headers from those equiped with the 5SFE engine like our GT's.

I've heard many very bad things about Pacesetter's products. I've heard on a couple occasions of people who installed a Pacesetter header to replace their stock equipment and actually lost power throughout the entire RPM range. thumbsdown.gif

And about the OBX header on eBay for the ST, I'm pretty sure someone bought one and had to modify it to get it to work because it was made to fit a Corolla. wink.gif

Yup that would be me, i bought the OBX header for the 94-99 ST celica from ebay. but in reality it was made for the 7afe Corrola, it bolted up nicely the only thing that caused a problem was the mid pipe that needed to be extended since it was short. also the secondary O2 sensor needed to be added to the mid pipe. ill be dynoing the car soon once i get my pulleys and re-tuning it with the SAFC so ill let you know what the power gains are.

Also if you want a header for the 5sfe you ca-n use the MR2 header or the 3sfe made header like silver 94 stated. but youll need to extend the piping which any muffler shop will do.

How much did it cost for you to get the piping extended?

to extend the piping and weld a new 02 sensor location on the mid pipe was about 100 all together, he also went and fixed all the other exhaust leaks and tears i had on the rest of the piping too.
