i had a problem with my batery and i had to replace it. but what happend is that there is an anti-theft system on those radio with a 3# code. but i dont have the ****ing code. and in the owners manual they say that i have 9 chances. if im wrong 9 time, after that they say that the radio is dead and that i have to chage it! anyone here had that proble?? or knows how to solve that cause i go cassette and cd player and i think that the original sound systeme is very good and i dont want to waste money on that.

You obviously dont have the owners manual, sometimes the manual will have
an additional stereo booklet with the unique security code attached to the book
as a label. If not you could take the model number/serial code on the unit to
a Toyota dealer ( with proof of ownership of the car it came from) and they might
be able to source the lock out code. The last resort would be to take it to a car
stereo specialist, they can scan and unlock your stereo at a price

I had this problem with my 1st Celi, and stereo shops would'nt touch it until I got the code figured out.

The preset code from the factory is 000, so try that and see if it works. If somebody has changed the factory setting and you don't know the code, just make an appointment with a toyota dealership to have them reset the stereo. It cost me like $35 for them to set it back to 000.

Did you figure out the code or did you take it to the dealership?
