I know Im not the first to ponder this biggrin.gif , but has a 1mz or 2gr ever been mated to a e154?

And then the other important question is will the TRD Supercharger for either engine fit under the hood of a 6gc? (someone go take measurements!)

Let me know what you think...

The S54 and E153 both bolt up to both the 3S-GTE and the 1MZ, so presumably the E154F will bolt up. There might be some modification necessary on the back of the block for the rear trans support.

I believe the 2GR is almost too tall for the engine bay due to the slope of the hood, so the supercharger likely won't fit.

DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The supercharger comming out of the Gt-Four's hood would look dope! Especially if it could directly come out of the middle vent for the hot air comming from the turbo.

Indeed. Though not quite as impressive as this:

Yes the st205 trans will bolt up but the transfer case an the rear exhaust manifold take up the same basic space
The only way (that I've read ) is to use a Awd trans out of a 5speed Awd rav4 since it has a smaller transfer case

This is what's on my mind this past week. I wonder if someone could actually pull it off.

Its the perfect combo.

The amazing torque of 3 or 3.5L v6 plus the booty raping torque from the supercharger would be even more amazing with AWD. I can only imagine how great that would feel to drive, much more practical for everyday driving versus WRC racing with a turbo 4

If there was one worthwhile under 2.65 liters I would have done it.

Instead I ended up with a 3sge, to stay in open light class.

what if you took a 3.0L v6 and "short stroked" it, with longer rods instead of long stroking it. CR would go up,.... prolly to much to take up .35 L... oh well

The 4GR-FSE and 5GR-FE are 2.5L. both are around the 200HP mark
So is the2.5L 2MZ-FE, right at 200 horsepower and all 3 are a V6. Toss the TRD supercharger on it and do a decent engine build and you have a monster.

i've been pondering the 2gr-fe + awd for a while now. for a while the lack of viabe ways to get it insured stopped me (would not want your car to get totalled and re-imbursed 4k after 20k of modifications). i think i may be able to get it insured to an agreed upon price with another insurer though.

at the moment, the main thing stopping me is that i don't have a garage (guessing roughly 60k to build one). so i don't have a place to put all the parts i'd want to collect, before i pay my mechanic to do/try it.

don't have a very clear idea of the right way to bolt the rear end up to our floorpan either.

Yeah sacrifices may have to be made. The exhaust on a forced induction engine isnt a place to make sacrifices though.

No there's no room for the exhaust to be routed with the st205 transfercase
The rav4 case give enough room to run the exhaust without choking the motor

make new engine mounts that bring the engine upright, make a bulge in the bonnet, modify oil pan and sump pickup

?
