How do you like the Sprint 2 Sport? I have the Supra Aero body and I'm trying to decide which chassis I want to go with it. I've considered the Dash because it's cheap, E10, and Sprint 2.

I cant say much as ive never owned any other chassis. But ive only heard good things about this chassis, such as the mid battery and fairly mid to rear motor makes the weight distribution awesome compared to others. Also the camber adjustment is incredible(idk if all RCs are like that or not).I got mine for 200,only ran twice and included the entire kit, charger, and 2 extra sets of rims. Hyperdirft.com seems to be the best forum ive found so far.

yea its so easy with a RC car as you can change the body height without adjusting the chassis height haha.

I know the E10 and the Dash aren't as good as the Sprint 2, but this is also my first serious RC car. I'm trying to put some serious thought into the motor I pick. I'm tempted to pick up the RTR Sprint 2 Drift Sport. Anyway, this is the body I have, awaiting a chassis.

Sweet body thumbsup.gif If you end up not getting a chassis ill take that off your hands. I personally dont wanna use any nice body right now as i run the damn thing into walls so much id feel bad frown.gif As far as I have read the sprint 2 drift is almost the exact same as the sport, just different tires. These things are def a lot of fun and really cheap compared to 1:1 cars.

However now ive gotten into a local drift group and all of them say the Tamiya TA05 is the best drifter out there, and at the next meet-up ill talk to them and i may be selling my sprint 2 sport for one.Rcmart and towerhobbies seem to be the best bets for cheap parts and kits as well.

But head over to hyperdrift.com and start up a thread! They are VERY knowledgeable and dont tend to bash noobs much. Its like 6gc.net minus 95celicaST biggrin.gif

I just checked out towerhobbies.com and I can actually get the E10 for 3 payments of $63. Not bad at all. I don't think the E10 is as good as the Sprint 2, but for the money... It's very tempting just to get started. I didn't put all the decals on my Supra body, only the ones that were necessary. I need to repaint it, and the decals weren't the perfect size, but it's a good starter car.

Edit: Your thread convinced me... Just bought the E10 from towerhobbies. It's a good starter kit, and I just sold some books and that paid for it. It's coming with a Mustang GT-R body, so I get to get started and wreck that before dropping my Supra body on it. You can switch it from touring to drift, so it'll get me started for now.

My starter body:

thumbsup.gif Idk much about that chassis, but i know with mine it was recommended to lock the rear dif, and mod a few little things here and there for cheap.

Same goes for the E10- lock the rear diff, get a better motor, 22pt pinion, and then a whole different chassis. It's not really worth modding, as I'm finding out from reading on hyperdrift. My username will be incredibly obvious- you can't miss it. Thanks for the tips thumbsup.gif

I'd love to have a T-Maxx. But I'm an RC n00b and on a budget, so I just stuck with a low-quality electric chassis. What kinds of bodies do you have?

You could make that happen pretty easily. Under $200, and get started drifting too.

Yokomo makes a Lexus IS 300 body. I might have to pick one up pretty soon and paint it blue. I'm loving all the potential that these RC cars have. Plenty of options to upgrade, interchangeable bodies, and drifting that doesn't destroy $500 tires.

Got my E10 today. So far, drifting is not going well, and the Supra body does not fit on here well at all. But hey, it's all about practice.

2 day shipping? O_O omgz i need to have a talk with tower hobbies haha. Looks pretty sweet thumbsup.gif, my STI was similar with the wheel gap aspect. I ended up cutting the bottom "lip" off(the gray part) and lowering it down so there would be no wheel gap and the body wouldn't hit to ground.

Its ALLL about how you drive and tires. I have 3 sets:

1.Basically hard plastic on rims, these put NO power to the ground but make the car drift like a mofo(uncontrollably). But they are on my best offset rims so i have them on most of the time.(also its fun when just screwing around as sometimes it can hit an awesome drift and you act like you totally ment to do that)
2.These are most likely the best, as if i hit a corner hard enough i can get a good smooth drift with a good amount of control
3.These are the toyo proxies of the RC tire world. They are IMPOSSIBLE to set loose(unless in the wet) but turn the car into a Street RC car.

Drifting also varies ALOT about the surface your on, smooth, new pavement is the best thing evar ive found so far. LOCK THE REAR END. It was a good mod, as it makes the rear slide out must easier(when its not locked the front are rear are basically the same). How doesnt the supra body work? The beauty with RCs is moding them is 100000000x easier than modding a real car lol. Is the e10 belt or shaft driven? Also ive started learning..as its awd, when you start to hit a drift...let go of the steering a bit and let the tires go straight a bit and it makes for a better drift. I think i have this problem as i imagine this car as RWD.

Edit: i know there are more people on here with RCs..i guess ill have to go hunt them down..

The E10 doesn't put out a lot of power, but it's shaft driven. I think my first upgrade will be a more powerful motor. (I already regret not going nitro tongue.gif ) I still have to lock the rear end. As far as drifting goes, I can get the back end to kick out in my bedroom floor which, as you can see in the pictures, is basically a fake hardwood floor. I have a smooth concrete floor in my garage and the car won't drift there... yet. Get an upgraded motor and a couple of other little things and it should be good.

One of the body pins tore my finger up pretty bad earlier... I wasn't watching where I had my finger and I slipped the pin right into it. Must have bled for an hour. Moral of the story, this thing is more like a real car than I thought possible. It kills me but I love having it.

The Supra body... There were indentations on the body for me to drill holes. I did that tonight, and they aren't in the right place. The rear end sits on the chassis just fine but the front end sits too high. I have everything set as low as possible. Looks like I'll just have to cut some of my posts off wink.gif But everything is just slightly off... It needs some work. I'll get on that tomorrow. And there HAS to be more than just us with RC's. I mean, I finally bought my chassis simply because of this thread. If I did that, I know that somebody has to have some RC's laying around.
