Not my cup of tea. Dodge's design team seems to have taken a hiatus lately with their exterior styling, excluding the fact that they have never really made an attractive car. All their newer models look like they walked into the meeting on Monday morning and said "so over the weekend my wife made me clean out the garage and I saw this box with a heavier box on top of it. I like that crunched, folded in look on top, lets make that a car" and there's the new Dodge lineup.........

I haven't seen a Dodge I liked since 2003. I'd drive a 2003 Ram 2500 quad cab extended bed. Cummins diesel with the 6sp manual. The rest of Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge is complete garbage.

I like the look of the Challenger, old and new. The Viper always looked awesome. Even though the new Viper seems like it's trying to look like a Ferrari 599, still looks cool. Ehh, the original Charger was a good looking car. Then if you want to count Plymouth there was the Cuda, Roadrunner, and Superbird. Of the Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger; the Challenger is the best looking of the lot. Shame it's also the heaviest.

Mustangs have sucked ever since the second generation, they're just now getting decent again here recently(2011-present). Hell up until 2010 the V8 Mustang only made 315hp with the V6 making 210hp. I was looking and according to the steering and suspension specs they now have a multi-link rear suspension. Hahahaha thanks for the laugh ... Now go tell that to a terminator owner from your 100fwhp econobox 8) |

Well they have, pure rubbish after the first generation. Almost all American cars after 1970 were pitiful, then they all were after 1973. At least the Firebird, Camaro, and Corvette still looked good until they got their muscle back. With the exception of the SVT Cobra and the Shelby GT the power of the Mustang has been laughable up until now. Also have you ever seen me claim the Celica as being fast? The whole reason I got the car was for fuel economy, as far as I'm concerned it's a nice looking and handling economy car.

I was looking and according to the steering and suspension specs they now have a multi-link rear suspension. the reason mustang didn't get better during the 2000's is because chevy sucks so hard and pulled out the only competitor to the mustang. they spent years building a new camaro that was supposed to blow the mustang away, released it. then got shot down by ford with the new 5.0 that they built with a budget and a timeline that seemed impossible to get done. I am in the market for a 99-04 Mustang GT, I know the potential of this engine seeing as how I have owned one in the past and kick myself every morning when i wake up for selling it. I will post up here after I get it next spring and show exactly how cheap it is to build and get mid to low 12's N/A I will however agree with one thing you said, V6 Mustangs SUCK! (I refer to them as being "fake") (until the 2010 when the HP got bumped to 300 and was getting 30+mpg) -------------------- |

Now go tell that to a terminator owner from your 100fwhp econobox 8) I agree with you. in my last post i completely forgot about the terminators, (03-04 cobras) 4-valve supercharged 4.6 that kicks out over 400rwhp from the factory (factory numbers say 300-something, but they were severely under-rated from the factory) and once you upgrade the pully, you'd be pushing 500+ at the wheels. 6-speed trans and forged internals from the factory (we need a drooling face in the line up..) but at OP, nice find! whats the miles on it, if you dont mind me asking? I personally think that the challengers look the most aggressive out of the 3 muscle cars, but they are also the heaviest and slowest. BUT I still love em This post has been edited by Zake: Sep 11, 2012 - 10:57 PM -------------------- |

I love the first generation Mustang and the latest generation I like, the SVT and Shelby had been the exceptions to that. I was also lied to(stupid carsdirect...), looked up again and the Mustang still has a live rear axle(even the new GT500). Which explains why the Camaro handles better, despite being heavier, thanks to the Camaro's independent rear suspension. It'd be a tough choice between the new Mustang and Camaro, it really would. Which is saying something because up until now I'd have gone Camaro without a thought. Would just have to drive both, and see which I liked the most. For those that doubt my love of the Mustang the 1969 BOSS 429 is my dream car. That and a girl I knew had a 66 Mustang 289, lots of fond memories. So I have a soft spot for the Mustang, just tough love that's all.

I am in the market for a 99-04 Mustang It's just that the interior on those is so horrid. Cheap plastic everywhere! My mother used to have a 2000 V6 vert. but at OP, nice find! whats the miles on it, if you dont mind me asking? I personally think that the challengers look the most aggressive out of the 3 muscle cars, but they are also the heaviest and slowest. BUT I still love em Depends on which models your comparing. Camaro SS is slower than the 392 SRT8. Now the SRT8 and Boss are on the same price point so I'd put them against each other though everyone wants to compare the SRT8 to the Shelby which is a more expensive car. I got it with a little over 5 thousand miles so basically when the engine was broken in. Cruising with no heavy accelerating I'm getting about 23 MPG which ain't bad for the car in my opinion. But I bought it for the style, power of the HEMI, and the fact my family can fit in it. I was tempted by the FRS since I've been reading about the car for years but it's way too small for my child to be in the back. The challenger gave me power, size, and I love the looks. I have no regrets in buying the car and mustang or camaro wasn't even in the running. I was really between Challenger R/T, Passat TDI, and the FRS. And ended up w/ the SRT8 which fills my power need and my son absolutely loves it. It's turning him into a car guy lol. Not complaints here. |

I really like the looks of the Challenger, just needs to lose some weight.
