I was just wondering who on here has done a 1uz1uz swap. I have a friend who is telling me I should do that. Anyone who has done one please let me know. Thanks tongue.gif

So far, that's it. It's not an easy swap. Your friend may have been thinking of a 1MZ swap, the 3 liter V6. It's much, much easier and far more feasible for most people.

I don't think anyone has completed a 1UZ swap yet. Probably they meant 1MZ.

For the price of swapping a 1UZ in you could swap in just about any engine from any car. Its mostly custom work. Its a 4L V8 and the only thing you can reuse off your current car is the shell.

A 1mz-fe, 2gr-fe or 3vz-fe will all theoretically bolt in with little modification to a GT celica. The 3vz is the most barbaric of the three and the 2gr is the most expensive but by far the nicest. The 1mz came in the camrys that were like the 6gc.

dont forget the 3MZ...it would be foolish to put in a 3VZ, its old and heavy and dont make as much power

well thank you guys for your responses. i know for a fact that my friend is saying 1uz because he has a lexus with that motor in there and he wanted me to see if anyone had succesfully completed the swap.
