What is the difference between getting one that says it's for an automatic, and getting one that is for a standard transmission? They both look exactly the same. My car is standard, but they have cheaper ones out there for automatic, would it hurt if I just got the automatic one?

[/quote] Well then I'm going to get one for an automatic, install it and then I'll let you know if it was ok. What's the worse that could happen, I send it back? |

You should try taking apart the one you have and cleaning it with carb cleaner. 99% of the time they just need to be cleaned to function correctly again. Also, make sure you pick up a new gasket as the old one is not made to be reused.
