my cars currently sitting on konig incident wheels, from online specs i got they're 17X7 with 40 offset.
i cant decide if i should save up and get coil-overs(Megan) or just get some lowering springs. i found megans go cheap for about 150 shipped for 2" drop im not going to be playing with the setting that much if i do get coil-overs, i would mainly just lower it once suitable for daily driving, and then maybe slam it if theres some serious car meet or i feel bored. i still cant decide. would love some input and opinion. im not too worried about the struts blowing because they're from advance and under lifetime warranty lol and if i do decide on getting springs, is it complicated replacing them? never did anything of such nature. This is my daily, i drive about 500miles weekly, mostly in downtown for school. any advice and picture of a dropped 2" would be nice (yes i have checked this thread out already) -------------------- For Sale:OEM tail lights - make offer

Not talking from experience here, but from what i've heard the shocks will blow pretty quick on a 2" drop mainly if they bottom out alot on bumps. If your going for the warranty be sure to keep the stock springs and put them back on when you take them in (i'm assuming that lowering springs will void the warranty so they will want to see what you are using).

not true I have tanabe df210 with 2.2inch drop on the front and I've gone through kyb gr2 and bilstein and neither will blow out as long as you have the bump stop installed.
if your getting 215/45R17 tires. You'll need a 15mm spacer up front and 20mm spacer in the rear. Then your 2 inch springs will look just fine. This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Oct 31, 2012 - 1:33 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

From experience I would recommend Coilovers.
If you're running stock shocks (or anything either than GR2s) I would get Coilovers. If you lower your going to neeed to shocks and one point and possibly new mounts, and the total you will spend will be only a few hundred less than coilovers. I went the springs/strut route, and would probably go coilovers if I could do it again. Plus with the coilovers you can get it the exact height you want t to be. I'd def say coilovers.
