By yourself; a day if you know what you're doing.
With 2 or 3 people that know what they're doing; few hours to half a day |

It can be done solo in a day with a hoist, jacks work..but I felt safer with a hoist holding it =P
Short axle often sucks to remove. Rent a slide hammer with fwd fork and save yourself some hell. rest is pretty much close to the 7th gen smaay posted, though 7th looks harder =P |

I had a similiar situation where my clutch would get stuck all the way to the floor. I was able to grab it and it would pop back to normal, but it was bad when you are in first in traffic and it gets stuck to the bottom. My issue ended up being a master cylinder problem and after replacing that it was much better. I actually rebuilt the master once and the problem came back so I replaced it and haven't had it since. It started happening after I replaced my clutch and put on a stiffer pressure plate that wasn't originally matched with the clutch disc I put in there.
Basically what was happening was the master cylinder was binding and getting stuck when fully depressed. I assumed it was connected to the new clutch set-up, but can't be sure. In the end, the new master solved the issue. (side note, when this was happening my clutch was just about worn out, but no springs broken) This post has been edited by jcbass7: Nov 24, 2012 - 10:37 AM |
