it is a 16 inch rim.
the conversion in the back is not difficult. only few things to be done, that is the full size disc. no trimming. but i do need to get some extra things take care off. I cannot drive the car, the clutch is gone, ran out of brake fluid, and too lazy to take off the strut bar to refill. i need to find some decent sized dust covers, once im fully done, i might post a how to. right now im tackling the front conversion with full size discs. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... how wide are they I know they are 16 because they bairly fit inside the wheel. whats the offset. I'm assuming +35.
YEA FOR the rears all you need is a caliper spacer about 6mm right. death makes these or atleast I think thats his name, I forget. they do make these in 17 inch btw This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Sep 24, 2012 - 10:52 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

so i finished today with bleeding the brakes, and it does not take much to stop, however, the rears lock before the front as expected. Going to the front upgrade soon.

I already bought tires for them, finally, 6 month wait. sexy rims, if only they were bigger so thats how you like em, bigger If there is an interest, i will post how to, this conversion seems not to be popular in the crowd. I hate to take a lot of time for nothing.... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL

If there is an interest, i will post how to, this conversion seems not to be popular in the crowd. I hate to take a lot of time for nothing.... I may be missing parts of this project but I think you are fitting GT4 brakes to a fwd ST/GT right? What calipers are you using, GT4? The ones in the photo don't look to be 4-pot, are they? Any way, please do post a how to, even if only to help one person in need (such as... me) This forum has been a valuable source if information and inspiration and it would be. Shame to have any bit of knowledge gone to waste methinks. M. |

^^ They're rear brakes from a GT4 being fitted on a FWD GT.

So that's interesting, you all use the same rear backing plates as a 7th gen Celica. This is relevant to my interests.

funny thing is now im biased in the back.. as tires lock up faster there....
here are more pics... here is the GT4 rear rotor. spanking new! here is mounted... basically there is only a 5.4 mm difference in the mounting points, i placed washers, but i dont have any pics.... i did not destroy the shield, i just cut and trimmed to fit the massive disc as shown in this pic... -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years...
