Hey guys. Been a while since I was on here but I have a question.
I'm trying to eliminate problems I'm having with my car. It has been raining bad for a week straight here so I haven't been able to look yet. My brakes need to be changed for sure. On to the problem.... Today, I was driving and everything was fine except when trying to turn left. Left turns felt pretty difficult, but right turns are fine. I hear a little bit of metal noise, but the noise could be the brakes(which I planned on changing this weekend). Any ideas on what is going on? I've never had an issue like this before. -------------------- |

Well, just got back to the car today and the caliper is grinding into the rotor.... Put the tire back on and was able to move it the wrong way.... Pretty sure my wheel bearing is bad....

Move your tire the wrong way? What do you mean?
If you're wheel bearing i sbad, you'd hear a distinct "whirring" sound with the rotation of the wheel while driving, and will increase as you speed up. I've never had turning issues when my wheel bearings were bad. -------------------- -Protection mode, For when your amp tries to blow its load. 1995 Toyota Celica GTS - Daily Driver 1999 Chevy Cavalier - Winter Beater 1994 Honda Civic CX Hatchback - Dead My Celica! |

The wrong way, as in grabbing the top and bottom of the tire and wiggling back and forth/up and down, however you want to put it. I haven't heard too much of a whirring sound, my engine is loud and my driver side window motor is broken.
I took it all apart, changed the wheel bearing(which was so bad and deteriorated I'm lucky the wheel didn't fall off) and now it is fine. The bad wheel bearing caused slack in how everything was sitting, causing the caliper to rub the rotor. It's all fixed now. -------------------- |
