Hi all, and Merry Christmas!

was looking at a diagram of the alternator and noticed that its a 3 wire alternator. does anyone know if the voltage regulator is in the alternator, or if the ECU does this job? just curious about how the car works.

I believe it's internal to the alternator.

yes it is its a device on the opposite side of the pulley.... same side as the wires . Voltage regulator is under the plate.
