I really hope this is in the right spot, if not please move it. I've never gotten rims before but i want to upgrade from my OEM Alloys to 18s. I've picked the exact tire size i want but im not sure what rims to get.
The Tire size i want is 235, 35, R18. I already have 25 mm spacers to use as well if need be. I am also sitting on KYB Mounts, GR2 Struts, Tein S Techs,(drop is estimated at 35 mm in the front and 23 mm in the back.) I have some questions for the more experienced members..... Will i have issues with my fenders rubbing on my tires when i hit bumps? Will the width of the tire be an issue when turning? What brands of rims and tires are good to look for? How do you change your speedo to the correct speed when changing tire/rim size? Any other advice would be nice regardless but i want to keep that tire size unless it won't work... Like i said i don't know much about rims but i would like to get a set for the summer. |

the overall diameter is 24.5 just like my current 16 inch tires. If you were to buy a tire that has a 25.2 inch diameter then it will rub on the inside part of the front wheel well. but you wont have that problem
there isn't a way to correct the speedo, but I could be wrong. google is your friend there... 17 inch is best in performance/looks. 35 sidewall is very thin and you'll feel the road too much.... -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

How would the tire size 215 40 R17 work out? If i am correct that would mean i need a rim size of 17" x 8.5" right? Gunmetal sounds like a good pick for color but what kind? I dont know anything about rims or where to buy them so if anyone knows a good place local or online it would be much appreciated. Also suggestions on what brand and if i should go with an offset to avoid using spacers?

You can fit a 7-8 inch wide rim on that tire... -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
