This is mainly for anyone in the USA that ships things through USPS.
Went to mail out something today and they told me that the shipping rates have gone up.
I shipped a Vibrant muffler (weighing 7lbs) from MA to NC, which is 5 zones away.
Before Sunday, the cost would have been around $12 to ship Parcel Post, but it went up to $14.50.
I know it's not a huge difference, but I thought I would let you guys know.

Also, tracking is included on everything you ship now.

Thank the Government. Regulations on trucks, roads, planes, trains, ships, insurance. Taxes on fuel and everything else. Ups/usps are just trying to stay afloat.

Trust me, Norway is way worse....

I payed 300 NOK (60 USD) to ship a headlamp 300km....

and if i buy something from anywhere outside Norway, i gotta pay alot taxes.
Just got some MC parts from the UK, payed 300 GBP, and i bet the tax will be 1000 NOK (190 USD)...

And, your govurnment has NONE taxes compared to Norway...

I pay 3 USD per litre of fuel, and 2 of them is taxes... (1 gallon = 3,8 litres)
I pay 600 USD a year for Roadtax
I pay 1200 USD a year in Road Fees (Gotta pay to use the roads as well...) (I pay 60 NOK (11 USD) to work every day in this ****..)

And the worst part is... Norway has Europes 2nd worst roads, soon to be passed by Albania...

And my celi costed me 12 000 USD to buy because cars is insanely expensive...
A New Toyota Avensis costs around 70 000 USD with the smallest engine and no extras....

Pretty neat... kindasad.gif

yeah I made the mistake of declaring actual value on some parts I shipped to UK years ago. I didn't realize there was
taxes on it, needless to say the guy wasn't real happy. Now anything I ship outside the USA is a used auto part worth $10.
It gets a little scary because you can"t insure anything. I just make sure it is packaged well, and so far it hasn't been an issue.
