Out of no where I have been getting intense amount of water filling my driver side front and rear floorboards. I cannot figure out where it's coming from, and the weathers been to bad to be out and work on it. I fixed one area which was causing my O/D to turn on/off and made an electrical grinding noise behind the dash. That water was coming from where I ran my power wire for my amp down by the pedals. But now there's still water getting in. The electrical of the car also now wont shut off, which killed my battery. With the keys off and out, I can still roll down my window, turn on the heater, and dash lights remain on. If anyone has any ideas of what it could be or where to start looking that would rock. I can't afford to get a new car, but I can't afford to not drive as well. I am missing my wheel well covers because I could never find new ones. Thanks in advanced, I want to save my celica. If any more info is needed, let me know.

Maybe the rubber plugs along the floorboard. They are great for draining water out. But they will let water in if they aren't secure. You could also try taking the car through the carwash or using a garden hose to see if you can find where the water is leaking through.

I had a leak in my rear triangle window, i took off the panels around it to locate it... I sat inside the car while a mate shot at it with the garden hose... found it, filled it with silicone. Never leaked since.

I am having the same trouble with my convertible. It does not appear to be coming from the convertible top. It only leaks on the driver side.

One thing I noticed and I think may somehow be the issue, please correct me if I am wrong since I am guessing... There is a plug missing by the windshield wipe on the driver side. The plug is there on the passenger side, but not on the driver side. Is this plug somehow letting water in?

For OP, do you have that plug in place or not?

If you find what it is, please let me know!

garden hose.

some people cut on the rubber boot on the door for amp cable, thats where it leaked on mine for long

convertibles have drains that need to be cleaned from time to time.

The boot is cut from the previous owners, my cable was to thick though. I filled that hole with expandable foam which I thought fixed it. But this damaged happened over night while the car was sitting. I can't hose it though because it's 17 degrees and snowing, although it was 60 and raining the other day. When I get a chance I'll check all the seals like the wiper and back window.
