hey guys just curious for some advice because i'm putting in my 8 speaker system in about 2 weeks and need to order the right speakers,
would you guys go with 8"subwoofers for the doors, or go with full range 8" speakers?

either way going to be doing upgrades to the tweeters, 4", 8", 6.5 in the rear, and still going to incorporate stock amp with my kenwood DD along
with an amp mounted under the passenger seat.

thanks in advance.

The stock 8" speakers are subs, but the factory amp likely won't power any aftermarket subs if you choose to go that way. You'd definitely need an aftermarket amp for those.

i upgraded my 8" speakers into subs while keeping the stock amps and i could barely hear the bass. the factory speakers were better suited with the factory amp. so if you're gonna stuff 8" subs in there, i highlly recommend putting a higher powered (aftermarket) amplifier.

I had kicker 8 inch subs in my doors with a kicker amp, the door was about to come off, the rattling was insane, I then went with midbass from kicker, with the same amp, much better, get decent lows from it and keep the door in one piece.

thanks guys,

the plan is to run about a 600 watt amp that will be pushing the 8" subs.

hopefully dynamat the Fack out of the panels, use the stock plate that came with the premium sound system to also reduce some vibrating hopefully
and run the tweets, 4s and rears off the stock amp. i might integrate the rear 6.5s with the aftermarket amp though.

i just don't know which speakers to go with because i don't want to buy junk.... i was thinking about buying JBL as they've never led me wrong...
maybe memphis.
