I've just fitted some Recaros to my SS-III today. I used Cobra subframes modified to fit the recaro base.

They're Mitsubishi Evo seats with the centres retrimmed by me in the OEM Celica fabric. And "modify" means I had to bolt and weld flat steel to the Cobra runners so they bolted to the Recaro base.

The only downside I found to this was that the Cobra frames needed all the mounting points elongating so it'd fit the floorpan!

The rails depend on which seats you get. Bucket seats and reclines use different rails.

I prefer not to modify components so I got myself some bride seat rails.
If you are planning to get the SR-series like Mondo did, then TO75RO and TO76RO seat rails from bride works (usually around 210USD+shipping)

Even the SS-III with the stock recaro seats use bride rails.
Here are both on ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281063975336?ssPag...984.m1438.l2649

If you plan to go a more wallet friendly route, just be careful not to cut any corners.
I will gladly pay more money for a better quality rails/seats if it means life or death of my passengers.

Good luck !

^^^^^^^ Truth.

This is why I both welded and bolted the steel to the runners - to make sure that the seats are securely fitted in the cabin. It's not an ideal solution, but I have no concerns about the safety of the installation.

 Those seats look fantastic. Why are they temporary until you retrim the interior? I'd leave them just as they are. smile.gif

I'll be trimming the whole interior in burgundy leather (like the armrest and gear gaiter have been done) when I find the time to do so.

The seat bolt patterns are the same regardless. Lhd or rhd doesn't matter.
