So I got a Jspeed front strut bar and I found out it doesn't fit under the stock hood, when the seller said it would.
Does anyone know if it will fit if I cut any of the support braces out?

I have to put it back on to check, but it was between and inch or two I think.

it fits on my stock hood. no problems. are you not able to close the hood? some people have done is install a couple of washers on the hood hinges to elevate the hood from the windshield area giving it more clearance.

That is correct, I cannot close the hood.
I'll be double checking it on Friday though. Worst that happens is that I space up the hood with spacers or cut out some of the supporting braces

Try the washers first mike, I cut my supporting brackets on my old hood to clear the IC piping and regretted it, it looked to sloppy.

Yes there are.
Do a search and you can see that one version is much higher than the other.
I have the lower, Mike has the higher.

yayyy for meeee....
So will I have to cut out the support braces on the hood and use some washers to bump the hood up? Or just do one of those options?
