A while ago i had the oppurtunity to drive a friend's facelift Celica (mine's a pre-facilift) and i believe these seats are comfier (more padding?) and maybe a bit lower too, is that correct?
I also believe the shape is better looking but that's just my opinion...
If i will go for a leather upgrade then i could swap my seats (in excellent condition, from a GT-four) for his seats ,they have few hole's in the fabrics and look a bit dirty but they would be recovered anyway.

Correct, the seats are different and the comfort level is markedly different. But you can't just swap seats. The buckles are different. So pre face belts won't clip into post face seats. But I'm gonna put those in my car before long too, long drives my butt hurts.

What do you mean buckles are different?

I am about to swap the seats on my car. The buckle, or safety belt is not attached to the seat so I left those alone.

Do you mean wiring harness? Please let me know what does not match.

Thanks!

The latch that the belt buckles into is different. I think they're pretty easy to swap while the seats are out.

Is a size 12 or 14 bolt that holds the latch from what I recall, it's not hard at all with the seat out. My car originally was being sold with the Anniversary Edition seats. I opted for the original worn out seats for $300 off the price. A decision I have come to question myself a few times.

You're in luck, I happen to have the bottom cushion from the 96-99 seat. tongue.gif
