when in takes 16 posts to make the top poster today, and most active topics discuss nothing in general, i think the site is dying y'all.

just tought id say that. guess many people are moving on, wonder if we all need to move on...

I noticed it too man, people are outgrowning their celicas, trends are changing, and advances in automotive technology are getting greater. But like with all great things, not everything last's forever.

Sadly, 16 posts to be the top poster means it was a busy day. Most days, I see the top posters have 6-8 posts and half the list is comprised of people with one post.

Yes it is very sad. I sure do miss the lively hood this place used to have.

Yeah, I'm going to second what Mike said. I never really posted and I've been on the site for around 3 years, all because I like to use the search function first and then if I can't find what I'm looking for I'll ask. But seriously, so many things have been covered from 5SGE/5SGTE swaps to v6 swaps and everything else, it's hard to not find what you're looking for. Thanks so much guys, this site is amazing.

although some of the stickies have dead links and non-active members.

maybe if somebody wants to they can redo a stickie. Didn't we have a group account to upload photos somewhere?
maybe upload stickies photos to that so that if someone deletes their account, the pics don't dissappear.

I'm not moving on.

I got work to do.

But, if this site does ever come to screetching halt, I'd like a little notice so I can clean up my file server and pull the whole site. I was doing it in the past, but ran out of space to be on backup.

I use to check the top posters everyday till I realized after a week I was the top poster with around 26-30 posts a day.......for almost 2 weeks.
But it seems like it goes in fazes
It'll be quiet for awhile an then bam people will be posting like crazy.
I still check in everyday but since I haven't done a lot with the cars as of lately I haven't had a lot to post

Agreed, it comes in waves.

Lately I've just been to busy to be motivated with the Celica.

My motivation is switching and you guys will have to deal with my constant stupid posts about things already covered, and my sour attitude for you answering me in a matterlyfactly manner. This of course is not directed at any specific individual =)

http://www.httrack.com/

Make sure you have a large drive available, or you can set options to reduce the amount it acquires. It literally grabs everything. Doesn't copy the image links, but copies the image itself. So it can take a large drive over easy. I have no idea the size of the site itself, but when you copy everything it becomes bigger then the site itself. I would suggest atleast a 1TB drive. It filled up the 700gigs I had earlier. Worth it though, I'm eventually going to put together a raid 5 with 5TB which should hold it all.\

Oh and do me a flavor, if you are going to do it. Send me a PM, I don't want a bunch of us doing it at the same time, and slamming his host which could potentially cause coomer some issue. If we do it 1 by 1, or in a regular routine we should be fine.

And of course, as most know, if you do copy the site, do not use the information copied for capital gains =)

Well I have a 2TB drive that isn't a 1/4 of the way full yet smile.gif
I don't have a problem buying another one in the future either because they're pretty cheap as it is.
I'll definitely let you know when I'll be doing it though!

It sucks here on my end because I'm motivated like crazy to work on my car but I can't for the next six months, but when I get back I am opening the flood gates with post and pics and more posts and more pics.
