Once I have done that I will remove the airdamn to glass in the back side so I will take some pics of it before glass and after fillin in the backside Im really happy! the average daily temp is finally starting to warm up some more so pretty soon I can start gettin up everymoring at 0'dark 30 and workin on the car before work - gonna fly then This post has been edited by NEVERSTOP: Mar 26, 2004 - 11:51 PM -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

A couple of ??? for Neverstop if you dont mind. 1 is the space on the front bumper
between the 2 pieces that are cut apart, how are you going to fill it? foam and glass? 2. Is on the sideskirt, did you make a hole in the sheetmetal? If you did, where did it lead to? Inside the car? Thanks Madmods |

a couple of answers for ya! 1. I will temp glue wood dowls in on certian points to get the two pieces to line up correctly.. then I will either lay down a flexible mesh or set up clay behind it (not a fan of using foam) and leave it recessed about 1/8 an inch then glass it in and smooth it down. 2. oh yea there's a hole.. and its damn big, It leads into the car yes. If you look inside your car and find the speaker on the rear sidepanel(liftbacks only I think, not sure on coupes).. its about a foot below there, there is kind of a compartment that is from the back of the door well to the front of the rear fender well and comes from the side of the car to the back of the interior piece there.. I would say its about 3-5 cubic feet of space.. and about the only thing in there is a drain hose for the sunroof and the back side of the speaker -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Wow I remember when you started it not too long ago. It's really turning out unbelievably nice. Do you do this stuff for a living. If not you should. I love the look and would like to do the same thing to mine. Keep up the good work.

thanks man! No I do not do this for a living.. actually I'm a professional tattoo artist and body piercer for 5 years now... but have givin thought to eventually opening a shop where I would sell import parts and also buy cars and fix em up and do some crazy work to em and then sell em.
the photos are a little decieving.. the front is sitting about 6 inches off the ground right now cuz there is no motor in it.. I have had to pay really close attention to body lines and do a lot of leveling and measureing to make sure that nothing will sitt too low.. it should sit about the same height it did with the invader kit on it so I will have plently of clearence and I also only have 16inch rims on it right now but will be putting 17's on it... either of these rims on it what I have now what I want -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

got my replacement camera today.. so I went and took some decent daytime photos of the front
you will notice a small hole in the center section.. this is where I took the fiberglass too thin so I will have to patch that from the inside of the airdam but i still need to put glass on the backside so not too worried about just kinda looks annoying, also need to do a little more to the sides expessially the driver side and make the bodyline (where the two kits meet) a either a little straighter or smooth into a curve -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
