Canyards? Splitters go under the bumper. Never heard of canyards? Is that the same thing as a carbon fiber diffuser?

I was thinking of doing the splitters as well. I think they'll look awesome with your setup. |

Looking at your car I might be concerned about clearance, have you measured to make sure the bumper isnt to long? It just looks like it may be a problem.

they go on the front side of the car.. the two small little curved triangle things I posted
Yea I think it will look good... kinda thinkin about maybe trying to do something in the center.. kinda like the white 3rd gen eclispe has above where the center of the kit is actually CF.. think that would look cool If I could do it.
I think it will be fine.. it sits at almost the exact same hieght that the invader front did.. infact I think its about a 1/4 inch higher.. which will be fine for clearance.. there is alot of room under that front.. infact I can fit one of my JDM tail light boxes under it with about and inch clearance still.. that and I am goin bigger with the rims so that will raise up the car a little more also. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Yo man. Looking real nice.
I'd go with the 2 piece splitter, because there is already an indent in the middle bottom of the kit and I think 1 on each side would look mean as. |

here is a photo to show the clearance a little better that I found... my old kit with the motor in used to sit flush with the bottom lip on the rim - and that was with worn out TRD springs that where showing about 1/2inch sag to them.. I plan on doing new springs pretty quick so between that and the bigger rims I should be fine... and if worst comes to worst I will just get slighly bigger tires to raise it up a little more. edit: this photo is with no motor in the car
I like the 2 piece one but I think that is would have less downforce than the full one.. also with the full one I can create a small scoop between the spliter and the slightly raised up center than I can then direct even more air into the engine bay.. plus I get those cool looking rods I'm still undecided though... I really just want it to use as kind of a curb feeler.. I would much rather scrape up a 300$ splitter then mess up my front airdam which while it costed about the same would be alot harder to replace This post has been edited by NEVERSTOP: Apr 1, 2004 - 12:25 PM -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

started on the center section of the front today.. the part where it will raise up to meet the gt4 hood... didnt get a whole lot done but a little.. also filled in the rear side of the front.. am posting a pic of the inside before the glass cuz someone had asked for it before
It looks a little funny right now cuz I still need to sand it down some and fill in the side of is so I can have the bodylines match up perfectly but you get the idea -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Got a little more done today.. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for what I did today.. was prolly the easiest mod I have done to the front so far and in my opinion made the biggest difference soo far... basically just finished up the raised section.. well kinda.. got the driverside about 95% done top and bottom and the passenger side about 70% done.. spent most of my day working on a prototype hinge hehe
heres some pics... too tired to explain so just look and figure em out -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
