I don't have photoshop, but was thinking of taking the Lo-tek pillar gauge and placing against the lower dash to get an idea.
Only pb I can see is a passenger inadvertantly banging their knees on it. I'll going check out the other topic now. |

Yeah if I did it that way, I'd make sure to embed them nicely like u did in the pic.. If you spent a bit of time molding the dash I think it could look awesome!

I dont like either of your options. The three gauges would look really out of place in either one. I would suggest you mold them in your Center console or do the second choice but not in front of the passenger but instead in the middle of the dash above the air vents. That way they will be close to your view and you may put them straight and not in an angle. Reason is: Have you considered how bad they will look on the passenger's point of view?

oh, and no i haven't got any part of the exhaust yet. They will probably come this wednesday (hopefully because i need to put it on and see how i will change my rear. Planning to mold an underspoiler that will look like the fron bumper and have similar grilles and the exhaust will be coming right trough it)

last time I checked its not a law that you have to have airbags... I would remove the air bag completley if I went his route
LMAO! figured you wouldnt mind
well the center console is prolly outta the question as for the center of the dash.. NO that would not only make it look extrememly off balanced with everthing else in the interior it would also be a big distraction there... if its off to the far right side of the dash, either infront or on top it will only be in the corner of my eye but will still be able to see without looking away from the road... I have extrememly good periferial (sp?) vision so I wont have neproblem with it over there.... plus it actually looks really nice from the passager side of the car -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

I hope to work on it before work as much as possible this week and get the side finished up completly.. If you dont want it in the middle then the picture with the gauges in the dash looks better (rather than above the dash on top of the airbag)
Are you planning in entering your car for competitions and shows? |

As if he wouldn't.....
From those angles the lines look kinda different. Were you aiming for having 2 lines like that? (the door ridge and the skirt). Some primer or some different light might make it look different though. Also I have to ask... while you're at it have you thought of some work on the doors? or do you think working on them is taking it a bit far? Awesome! \m/ \m/ |

Thanks man!
Its not that I wouldnt want it in the center console.. its just I got plans there.... HEHE (Me and doggy shouldnt be allowed to talk.. its just unfair to everyone else ) I think I will end up making both of them and see which I like better... then sell off the one I don't use as for shows... well they really don't matter much to me or mean a whole lot.. I've been around pretty cars my whole life so there isn't much new for me at a show other than possibly ripping off some ideas... which I dont really like to do that much (yea I know I stole another guys Idea for the front bumper ) There is one car show that I will make it a point to attend though... its just a small local one but its for the car club that my parents have been in since I was really little and its gonna mean alot to me to come to that show with my car all done.. even though it's a Pontiac show they will still allow me to have my car there.. can't win nething but im not goin to that one for trophies newayz But I am sure I will attend some shows.. and hopefully pick up a few 3rd place + spots but not gonna go outta my way for trophies.. I will have more fun just pullin up to a group of kids with done up cars and just chillin with them.
Im not 100% sure what your talkin about but if its what I think it is, then its just the angle of the photos.. I purposly dropped the skirt down a little to make plenty of room for door clearence when its opened.. the last thing I wanted was to get the body all done and scrap up the paint with the door opening and closing... that and it kind of gives it a widebody look to the side which I think is cool looking... I wish there was a way to show you guys how this looks in person cuz no matter how I take photos of the side I can't seem to get it to show what im talkin about On with some pics did a little more to the side this morning.. woulda liked to of gotten more done but apparently theres this little thing called sleep and I guess your body needs it every once and a while... who woulda guessed?? but did manage to get some done so here ya go You can kinda see the widebody effect on the last photo.. its prolly the closest I have gotten to showing it on here. also there is a little bit of wavyness on the main body line of the sideskirt.. I will correct that in the next couple of day.. most of you might not notice it but for those that know a good deal about bodywork your prolly cringing right now lookin at it This post has been edited by NEVERSTOP: May 4, 2004 - 9:59 PM -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

well Im gonna try and get my butt outta bed tomorrow morning and work some more on it.. Im gettin pretty close to makin it white (primerin it in white) to check for flaws and to see what its gonna look like when its the same color as the car.. my goal is to have this side DONE by the end of this week so hopefully ill get it.. still gotta do some stuff to the front of the side skirt to make it fit a little better with bodylines.. but gonna need to prolly take off the door which I wont really be able to do by my self so that might have to wait until the weekend. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

Those were the two lines I was talking about. You can see how there are a couple of steps on the car now. Did you know the ridge on the door would make that much of an effect or was it a bonus? Oh yeah pm me if u don't want the ugleh photochop on the thread This post has been edited by KAMiX: May 5, 2004 - 3:11 AM |

It was kind of a bonus... baisally to make it fit how I wanted it to thats the way it had to be.. I really kinda like it though haveing all the horizontal lines (steps) BTW I like the photo so keep it up *doggy* I'll be sending that cash in the next day or two i'll PM you when its sent Newayz on with the pic from today Basically just did a little more work on the side.. I got a small area that is hitting the very bottom corner of the door so I'm gonna have to cut that out and redo some stuff but it's nothing major also did this to Got a little magiver on it with the duct tape but it actually worked alot better than maskin tape so think I will be using it from now one.. now just gotta figure out how to make a bomb outta that stuff -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |
