um, what i would suggest is to see if he can finish it in the next 2 weeks (end of the month).... if not, take action then

if they do finish, drive around and see how it feels.... then even if you're satisfied, i would take it to another mechanic and see if they believe it to be good work or not.... then if they don't like it, take some sort of action.....

but if needed to take it to another place try Maxx Autoworks in Federal Way, they know what they're doing (along with the owner JT being an old all-trac owner and now supra owner)... they charge a bit more, but it's worth the money..... that, or let me know and i'll talk to my "contacts" about seeing if you can get any help from them

Just to update you guys, a week ago I was promised that my ignitor would ship from Storm Performance. Today I still didn't get it, so I called them, and they told me that it hadn't shipped because he had to go find one. The funny thing is that when I called nine days ago, he told me he had one in his hand right then and would ship it the next day. frown.gif

I told them they needed to ship it overnight to me, but they wouldn't, so I think they're sending it via Fedex Ground or US Priority Mail today. I asked them to send me a tracking number via email when it ships later today, but I highly doubt that it'll happen. frown.gif

Also, I talked to two laywers yesterday. The first, who was highly recommended, told me that he takes his cars to Auto Boogie, so he wouldn't represent me as it would be a conflict of interest or something. The second laywer told me that since I have nothing in writing I should just take my car elsewhere and file a claim with Auto Boogie's insurance.

screw the free labour idea they gave you... if you have pictures of the car before it went into the shop and after.... sue them to get the car re-painted....

ask for a written explanation of the shape of the car from the paint shop.

you can sue the guy for the damage he cause.... but nothing he promised if it wasnt in writing.... it sucks....i know

i have $1000 damage on my car from some guy jumping on it...the cops even arrested him! but its gonna cost me over $1000 to take him to small claims.... bah! so it's not worth it for me

I called Storm Performance a minute ago and finally got a hold of them, and apparently my ignitor didn't ship yesterday as promised, but it did ship this morning supposedly. I've heard that three times with my axles though, and I still don't have them, so we'll see.

LOL!

You know.... I would do something to his shop... sadly.

I am really not a person to be like that, but my friend, he is givin it to you prison style. Don't let him. Go get something in wrighting, or tell him... something. Pay me $250 and I will fly to Washington and tell him I'm Johnny cockran's estranged white son and he'd better watch out. smile.gif

(I'm really sorry this is happening to you. Take a paintball gun to his house or something....)

What's new? The situation has gotten much, much worse. frown.gif

I was in town this weekend because I was promised that the car would be done, but of course, it wasn't. Instead, I found a new large mark on the door, and found out that one of my nice wheels is scratched. What really irritated me was that I dropped off my old wheels months ago and my mechanic said he'd put them on so that my nice wheels wouldn't get damaged, but he was too lazy to even do that! mad.gif

The other day, he called me and told me that he couldn't finish the swap again, due to not having some information. So I called my friend, and he talked to his buddy who's really good with engine swaps and stuff. He said it wouldn't be a problem to finish my car up, but then he went down to Auto Boogie, looked at my car, and said that it was messed up beyond repair and that he wouldn't even touch it because of what my mechanic had done to it. frown.gif

So I called my parents, only to find out that they won't let me go to court, because they're worried about insurance finding out about the swap. Also, they think I deserve this for doing an engine swap in the first place. rolleyes.gif

Everything is just going downhill right now...frown.gif

That is just a bad situation. On the bright side...even though it's hardly existent herer, we all know not to do business with Auto Boogie.

Coomer- Check with insurance, but I think most companies are okay with having a swap. It shouldn't change your insurance, I talked to my statefarm agent, and he not only said that it wouldn't change my insurance rate, but if I kept all the reciepts, whatever work I put into it would also be insured.

Check with your insurance company, it might not be a problem, then you can take them to small claims. also, I've found sometimes just a letter from a lawyer is enough to scare some people into giving you what they owe you.

Good luck man!
