wow I just read the whole story and I have to say that justice will prevail. Coomer i got mad respect for you and your tragic ongoing story. Remember that no matter what happens, your story will be a legend and you will look back thinking: I owned them crooks that messed up my car. Good luck and hang in there. Celica For life.

Over the past few days, my mechanic decided to work on my car again for some reason, and it's even closer now. The AFM and ignitor are completely wired, and the power steering is completely ready to go now.

Last night/early this morning the car was supposed to start, as when I called last night, my mechanic was checking over every wire at the ECU to ensure that everything was correct. But I never recieved a call from my mechanic. I'm going to call after class today and see what he says. There's a chance that I could be going home tonight to pick up my car, but I highly doubt it'll happen.

I just got off of the phone with my mechanic. Two plugs at the ECU checked out completely. The third plug is giving him a bit of trouble, but he's working his way through it.

Also, the radiator is in. All hoses and vacuum lines are hooked up. The sway bars are on. Just about everything mechanical is worked out, and it's mainly just some wiring issues that are holding up the swap right now. There's a chance that the car will be done tonight. smile.gif

I'll be sure to post tons and tons of pics. And I'll get it dyno-tuned hopefully this summer once I get something like a S-AFC2 to tune the air/fuel ratio. smile.gif

I just got off the phone with my mechanic, and he said the wiring is done, or at least he thinks so. smile.gif The engine fires, but wouldn't stay running due to vacuum lines not being hooked up.

He said that hopefully it'll be done tomorrow. smile.gif

Swaps are easy...hell, my mechanic had some trouble marrying a new 5SFE into my car...which I still don't have back. I had a dream about it last night though, me, my car, an R33 Skyline, a MKIV Supra, and a 300ZXTT...those were three cars and I could pick one to drive until my car was done. It was neat.

Edit: MY BABY IS READY I JUST GOTTA GO PICK HER UP!

Woo hoo! I just heard the engine start and stay running for a few seconds! biggrin.gif

The problem now is that after a few seconds, the engine dies. My mechanic thinks its due to timing, so we're attempting to find out how to adjust the timing on the AE101 4A-GE right now.

It's alive! It's alive! biggrin.gif

I came into town tonight, and when I went to Auto Boogie, Josh, my mechanic, started the car right up, and it stayed running. smile.gif Apparently, it was an issue with the fuel pump relay only getting power when the starter was cranked. Once the car started, the fuel pump turned off, stalling out the engine after a couple seconds.

It's now running, but there's an exhaust leak near where the 4-2 part of the header meets the 2-1 part of the header that will be fixed tomorrow. Also, we have to get a heated four-wire 02 sensor so that the car runs correctly. Those things, a couple more mechanical things, tidying up the wiring, and putting everything back together and the car should be able for me to take. smile.gif
