Just wondering are the coupes and hatchback tail lights the same?
I have a couple cracks in mine in the only thing at the junkyard are the hatchback Gt's

no they are not the same.
coupes are pretty hard to find in junkyards, I've noticed that as well.
best bet is ebay but they overcharge for stock tail lights. if not, maybe check around on the for sale part of this forum.
or better yet, upgrade to curren tail lights. smile.gif

I was looking at the JDM tails. Would love to get those. But are they only for the gt?

Do you have a coupe or hatch?
Never asked that. I assumed coupe but read that you said GT hatch. It doesn't matter GT or ST or Gt-four. only difference is coupe or hatch.
JDM tails will be a direct replacement for your tails if you have a hatch. there's just one extra bulb that you can use or just unplug.

There were JDM tails for the coupe, called a Curren.

Coupe/Convertible: JDM Curren tail lights

Curren Tail-Lights - These tail-lights can be found on JDM Currens from 9/1995-on. They are made to fit the Curren and sixth generation Celica coupe and convertible, they include a clear turn signal, and a tinted lense. The part numbers for these tail-lights are below.

Hatch/Liftback: JDM GT4 tail lights

JDM Tail-Lights - These tail-lights can be found on some overseas Celicas from 1996-on. They are made to fit only the sixth generation Celica hatchback, and they include a clear turn signal, and a reverse light that's in a different location. The part numbers for these tail-lights are below.

81551-2B300 (Right)
