So SexciCelicaChikk and I trying to do something different from your average 6th gen. By going to different limits and doing clean custom work that will set her Celi apart from the rest. This inculdes as most have you have seen an outragous audio system, custom body kit(still in the concept stage), and more. But I actually want to put a little focus on the wheels for a moment. She found a set of rims that sparked her insterest and ladies when something sparks "IT SPARKS" Unfortunatly their lowest size tho nice is pushing the envelope quite a bit for most peoples taste, which is what is drawing me closer to liking them as well.

So what Im asking for is thoughts, opinions, and ideas wether negative or postive. Question is Do you think this can work?

I'd like to see the first ones on a 6g, but in order to make it work, the fitment and stance has to be spot on.

Last year, I had a set of 17x8 +35 on mine and they were really sunk. I would check the flush fitment thread for the amount of spacing and proper offset to make it work.

As far drag, or rally yeah they won't, lol it'd be like trying to turn the Titanic on a dime, lol. But considering this build is for strictly show and drive I'm sure they will work fine. But yes bloodMoney you're absolutely right the stance and fitment will in fact have to be dead on which I am currently researching every angle of. But it will be interesting once all is saiid, done, and put to the test.

There's a fine line between a good upgrade and overkill. 17 inch is pushing it on these cars, anything 18 and up is going to increase the rotational mass - meaning not only will it be heavy but it will take that much more power to turn the wheels. There's nothing really wrong with going a route that others have gone thru, it only means its tried and true. If you are set on getting wheels, stick with 16 or 17,, but increase the width,, more rubber contact the better handling. If you're set on having something "different" save up the money and get a 2 tone paint job. I've had many cars in my life, supercharged mustangs, turbo'ed eclipses, jeeps, rangers, you name it. If you need ideas send me msg and I can toss out a few more paths you can take.

If this isn't a race car (which it clearly is not) then why does "increasing the rotational mass" even matter?

@OP: I say go for it. The only comment I have is that you're gonna need some kind of aggressive body kit (TRD sides, C-One front, C-One rear, TRD wing, etc) otherwise the 19's will look humongous, no matter how low you go

You're right this is not a racecar, but I'm simply stating the facts. If you go from from 15inch to a 19inch, trust me you will feel the difference not only in weight, but turning radius and overall ride quality.

Doesn't really matter for daily driving. I've seen heavier cars pulled just fine with smaller engines... A 1985 Nissan B11 comes to mind. Hell, even a Genesis Coupe 2.0T with the Brembo and 19" Wheel package.

Understood, but not valid in my application. The 7A-FE does not like pushing heavy wheels.

i went from 17 inch to 16 inch, and the ride changed for better. It does matter, size

My philosophy for compact cars is 15s for performance, 16s for performance and looks, 17s for more of looks and a lil performance, and 18s and up are for just looks with no intentions of performance difference.
