bypass clutch safety switch by bridging the connector with a jumper wire.

just don't leave it in any gear before you lock it or else it'll lunge forward!

It'll still start in gear.

Some kid at a college in town here (NTI) was trying to show off his new remote start the other week, well he left it in gear. Needless to say it lurched into the car parked in front of him. Also at this school, some kid with a bone stock (engine performance wise) TC bought a carbon fiber hood (I mean like real deal $$$ carbon fiber) and instead of waiting for the hood pins, has it secured down with neon pink ratchet straps... So yea...this school, its something else.

I've seen a remote start set up (we almost had ours done this way) where someone used the kill switch for an open hood to prevent the car from starting when in 1st, 3rd, or 5th gears. We didn't have him install that in ours but I'm still debating having it done.

It's not really worth it on a manually equipped car unless you keep it in neutral all time. Which if you never park on any kind of incline I guess you'll be ok. The only decent use for remote start is to turn the car on from inside your house when it's really cold outside and you want the car already warm. Being you live in Mexico I don't think that's a problem for you.

get a remote start designed for a manual transmission, and install it correctly. Problem solved. Your "installer" should know this already. There is no chance of the car trying to start in gear as they are equipped with a series of idiot proof failsafes. Again only if it is installed correctly

Wire the neutral safety switch lead from the remote starter to the E-brake dash light.

That way the car will only remote start if the e-brake handle is engaged.

One time I left my truck in D after replacing the manifold. I reached through the window and turned the keys which meant I was dangling off the ground cause its a 64 chevy pickup. It started right up and lunged forward tiger tank, with me dangling out the window, and plowed into the side of the lincoln parked down the driveway.

trust me I have installed plenty, there is more to it than just a wire tapped to an ebrake signal. And the driver needs to do a short sequence of events every time you leave the car to put the unit into "ready" mode. If done correctly it is no problem, if not done correctly you are asking for trouble
