My blacktop engine is in! I tried to use my old steering pump, but that won't work unfortunately.

I'm going to take the reservoir off, but i'm curious how other people connected their pump lines. Hopefully you guys can send me some pictures so i can complete the swap.

Thanks.

I went to the Hydraulic shop and took my old 7Afe line in. I had them rig up a hose that went to the Rack from the 20V pump for around $70. Expensive stuff.

Hello,

did you keep you old reservoir at the same place? Do you happen to have a picture of it? wink.gif

Thanks!

Here's how I had my Power setup on my celica when I still had it.

I used a celica GT external PS reservoir and cut off the bracket that holds it and weld on 1/4 steel piece and drill a hole big enough to mount it on the inside of the passenger-side fender wall as shown in the picture.
Like soulshadow said, have an hydraulic shop crimp the fittings from the 20v pump to the power steering rack and the other end going from the rack to the external reservoir. Last you will need a hose from the reservoir to the suction side of the power steering pump.

Thanks! Now i can go on. Isn't it possible to use our 'own' 7AFE reservoir? You can just unbolt it from the old power steering pump.

I think I did use the 7Afe reservoir, but it has been ages and the car is now crushed.

They tell me a Toyota Corolla E10 / E11 1.3 4E-FE power steering lines will also bolt up so i'm going to check if i can get those.

I've already scored a Celica GT reservoir, so i'm fine with that.
