whats up guys. i read in the thread discussing what BEAMS came with LSD & what didnt that somebody said that the LSD S54 doesnt last long (i'm pretty sure the post said 100,000km). i was thinking about buying a LSD trans what is your opinion on this? will it last me a long time? is it that much better than non-LSD?

Richee was saying that his LSD felt as if it were starting to wear. I'd just get it because worst case if the LSd wears it will just act as if there is no LSD in there. Just look for a low mileage one.

Forgot I never posted this, but my LSD is perfectly fine. Got that confirmed. Both versions of the S54 are equally as reliable with the usual proper maintenance and whatnot. Ricer gear slamming kills the S54 just the same as any other trans but as far as reliability, with or without LSD the S54 is a great and perfectly reliable trans.
