Hello everyone ,
Since last year timing worked perfect I believe it is right time to start talking about calendar 2014 (if we want some here of course ). I suggest this timing: June - August = submitting some low resolution samples here in this topic (width 800 pixels would be for display purpose fine) to let us all know how many people is interested to participate. August = collection of high resolution samples for print purpose (3437 x 2043 pixels or higher). That means if you do not have picture in high resolution there is no sense post in here anything. Sorry. All will be send as usual to my e-mail. 1st of September = selection of 12+1 (public voting, no mistakes from the last year) 15th of September = FS topic start 15th of October = calendar printing November = distribution to all buyers (so you all will have it at home before Christmas for 100% ). Update September 1st: The list of posted pictures created to not miss anyone. The Cover (by Tigawoods) picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3504x2336) --------------------------------------------------------- Timmyface picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (4752x3168) --------------------------------------------------------- Tigawoods picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3504x2336) --------------------------------------------------------- Nial picture aspect ratio: 4:3 high resolution picture: YES (4320x3240) --------------------------------------------------------- mkernz22 picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: NO --------------------------------------------------------- marcov picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (5184x3456) --------------------------------------------------------- JoshuaM picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (5184x3456) --------------------------------------------------------- czwalga picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (4032x2688) --------------------------------------------------------- malpaso picture aspect ratio: 4:3 high resolution picture: YES (3648x2736) --------------------------------------------------------- rentaspace picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3888x2592) --------------------------------------------------------- cheela picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (5472x3648) --------------------------------------------------------- IfWeChoose picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3648x2736) --------------------------------------------------------- DST94 picture aspect ratio: 16:9 high resolution picture: NO --------------------------------------------------------- Rusty picture aspect ratio: 16:9 high resolution picture: YES (5158x2665) --------------------------------------------------------- RoyO picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (5184x3456) --------------------------------------------------------- HistoriCo picture aspect ratio: 4:3 high resolution picture: YES (3264x2448) --------------------------------------------------------- drumbum picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3437x2291) --------------------------------------------------------- UndaGrwnD picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (4288x2848) --------------------------------------------------------- BlackWidow picture aspect ratio: 4:3 high resolution picture: YES (4000x3000) --------------------------------------------------------- chromed picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3840x2592) --------------------------------------------------------- williamw1987 picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3264x2176) --------------------------------------------------------- Ehrgeiz picture aspect ratio: 3:2 high resolution picture: YES (3888x2592) --------------------------------------------------------- jesse09 picture aspect ratio: 4:3 high resolution picture: NO --------------------------------------------------------- PegGTS picture aspect ratio: 4:3 high resolution picture: YES (3072x2304) --------------------------------------------------------- Please share the link where I can download high resolution pictures from or send them to my email below: This post has been edited by malpaso: Sep 2, 2013 - 3:08 AM -------------------- No more replicas... thats a fair timeline. more than enough time to get some pictures together.
what what design will you be going with? I recall that took up a but of time to decide. Just throw some random pics in as placeholders and we could figure out that part now! -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

Thanks all for inputs. I believe there is great potential to collect 13 decent pictures . About design of calendar I have just an idea. I remember voting (one A4 as 2012 design or 2xA4 as 2013 design) and it was pretty close. So right now I lean to simple A4 size with new layout. I will throw something to Photoshop and post.
Only what is needed now from all who want to participate is: ... June - August = submitting some low resolution samples here in this topic (width 800 pixels would be for display purpose fine) to let us all know how many people is interested to participate. ... If members are thinking of entering, suggest you have a look at the previous years calendars for ideas, also I think it's worth a look at the photoshop, Celica of the month or any photography help thread/s or other photography sites to help with shooting photos of your celica, have fun and best of luck to everyone.
and malpaso, if you'd like some announcements made or anything special done to the threads pm me -------------------- |

... and malpaso, if you'd like some announcements made or anything special done to the threads pm me Thank you so much mate! It is exactly as Rusty wrote. And remember "the rule of thirds" . It will help to use the picture if design below (or something similar) is used: For something like this wide format of the picture will be needed (or classic but with chance to crop it) -------------------- No more replicas... That design looks decent. I'm fine either way. Here's my two options: ... Someone else decide. Haha AAAAh... Mate. You gave me inspiration . See this: When having similar composition for all remaining pictures it would be great calendar! in fact even not that perfect one can be "tweaked"... below 4:3 (wrong ration) and central composition: when moved and cropped it gives some space to work with... And after some stretching on the top we have at least this: Yes. Nothing stunning... but with added calendar layout (just slightly modified) it is not that big tragedy at all (IMO): This post has been edited by malpaso: May 31, 2013 - 3:37 AM -------------------- No more replicas... I like this!!!!
It would be pretty good if the images were in that thirds format, but even so, I think it will work I might edit that photo of mine again, remove that patch on the wall. Haha -------------------- |

I love what we did with last yaer in terms of layout. with a large pic on top, and a smaller pic with the squares/dates on the bottom page.
