Just hooked up a new head unit. Plugged in all the wires besides one that was orange/yellow (I think the dimmer.) Had stock amp installed and had to unplug it and use a wiring harness adapter. Both back speakers work, front right speakers works, front left only the tweeter works. Any ideas? This is a 95 gt convertible, btw, and it's a pain in the ass. It has the 6 speaker set up.

I guess basically I am asking if they are interconnected and my speaker is broken or is it a wiring issue?
I don't know if the speaker worked before because I never messed with the fade or balance on the stock amp.

Also, if I have to replace the speakers, could you all suggest something that has a wide range for under $40 a speaker? I want midbass, midrange in front and a couple of coaxials in the back. I know

Maybe somebody could point be to a low power (25w rms) mid-bass speaker?

If you are using stock speakers like I was, the speaker may be dead. I replaced the front with a pair of PolkAudio DXI 650s and I'm pretty pleased with them apart from having to be a bit clever about mounting them. You can narrow the problem down to the speaker by hooking it up to the other door to see if it works.

Hope this helps and good luck!
