Hello guys I'm new , I have a question I wanted to ask. I recently bought my 95 Celica GT, and was not aware it had an alarm system. It must have been deactivated till I unplug the battery and plugged it back in luckily a friend knew how to deactivate it. So I'm wondering how can I find a Leyfob that works with the current one or will I need a new system if I wanted a alarm system.
P.s I can't find no stickers on the window or black box that would let me know what brand it is. |

Look under your dash behind the steering wheel. That's where its usually hidden.
If you can't find it. You can always take it into an audio shop and they can find the alarm for you. Audio shops usually works with alarms. -------------------- |

if it's a stock alarm, the unit should be under the driver's seat

What does the box under the drivers seat look like?
I noticed a black one stuck to the floor but have no idea what it is, have remote locking but no alarm that I know of. -------------------- QUOTE (madbeardo @ Mar 27, 2013 - 8:17 PM)

I noticed a black one stuck to the floor but have no idea what it is, have remote locking but no alarm that I know of. if you have remote locking you most likely have an alarm because they're ran through the same box, at least that's how they are in my GT. I'm actually looking for a replacement myself so I will let you guys know what I find and how hard it was to install. -------------------- "As a professor of science, I assure you we did, in fact, evolve from filthy monkey-men." -Prof. Farnsworth

Hmmm is there supposed to be a blip noise when you lock and unlock? Mine only honks the horn if you push lock twice quickly.
Also do the hazards normally flash? Mine don't but have no one to compare with -------------------- QUOTE (madbeardo @ Mar 27, 2013 - 8:17 PM)

Mine don't but have no one to compare with The blip, i believe its called a piezo chirp? That is located, from what I've read, on the driver side firewall, ziptied as well. My chirp rarely works, i guess the age amd heat has gotten to it.. When you press the arm/lock button the lights (head/tail/hazards) flash and chirps once. Disarm/unlocked it does twice. -------------------- 6gcHeroes:808hectortimmybatmandiegotigamak |

Ok thanks for the info
Any trouble shooting you would suggest? Might go over it on the weekend as I hate leaving my baby where I do during work without an alarm... Lights don't flash, no chirp but remote locking still works -------------------- QUOTE (madbeardo @ Mar 27, 2013 - 8:17 PM)
