Have you read through the last few pages of the for sale section, there have been a couple of 3rd gen 3SGTE swaps up for sale at quite reasonable prices? Also, general forum etiquette is to wait a reasonable period (often 7 days) between bumps

In the 4 years I've been on this forum, most swaps I've seen have ac and ps.

^ Coming from a 6gc, the only downside of that is a massively less attractive interior. I actually like flip-up headlights, so I wouldn't mind looking past them instead of the interior while I slide the thing around a corner. That's one of my favorite charms of the Miata, such a joy to see the headlights shifting over the horizon.

I'd hardly consider them a collector's car, unless it's the Carlos Sainz edition. There's also the 4th gen All-Trac, I want to say they had a lever for the transfer case to take it from 4WD to FWD. So that's pretty nifty. In order to legally have a 6th gen GT-Four you'll have to find someone that transplanted everything into a USDM GT, that or wait long enough so that you can import one. That or if you just want the looks, and don't care if it's AWD or not that's easily doable. You could even go as far as to get a GT-Four front clip and transfer everything to a GT, you'd have everything but the AWD.

I had a GT before I know what's all required to do that swap. I just want to buy a 3rd Gen swapped GT with a st205 front. Maybe with wheels and coils already with the gt4 wing blocks. I want a replica not the real thing. |

Ahh ok. Well when I think replica, I think 100% carbon copy. Being you just want a GT with the 3S-GTE and ST205 body parts you shouldn't have that much trouble at all then. I remember seeing one on eBay some time ago, don't think it sold though. Haven't seen it listed again, so who knows. I want to say someone sold their swap on here for around $4,000 or so not too terribly long ago, it still needed some finishing work I think. Being you have a $8,000 budget might look into finding a shop to do the engine swap for you. Finding a GT with a good body and blown engine for around $1,000 shouldn't be too terribly hard. Then you have about $3,000 in a front clip, then whatever the cost of the swap and body work you can't do yourself. Odds are that'd be faster than waiting around for someone to sell one they've swapped.
