I just installed my 7th gen short shifter and everything seemed fine until I took it for a drive and got back and realized the whole shifter had come loose and was just wobbling around. After having a look, I realized that I had forgotten to replace the clip on the side of the assembly and the arm(?) keeps slipping out. I had broken the old one getting it off because I thought the kit came with a new one but it turns out it didn't. Any idea where I can get that clip? Or anything that will do the job?
There should be a clip on it like this: -------------------- 2007 Impreza 2.5i - Daily

Junk yard would be your best bet. I may be wrong but the clips might be universal for toyotas.
I have the whole shifter assembly but of course, I won't part that out. You can also try the dealership. -------------------- God made man....

The only problem is getting it off without breaking it, because it seemed like the only way I could get it off was by physically prying it off and thus breaking it If I went with the dealership, what would I even ask for? -------------------- 2007 Impreza 2.5i - Daily

When I removed mine, I pried millimeter by millimeter at opposing ends, came off decently well. Getting the cup at the end of the rod off was tougher.
