Okay, I'll admit, I'm a little bit of a noob. But how did you guys get the rear motor mount off? I already took off all the bolts and nuts, but there just doesn't seem to have enough clearance to pull out the motor mount. Any tips? Thank you everyone.

Ha, the rear mount..

Well, the easiest way I've found to do it is to take the front motor mount off. This may give you enough clearance because now the engine will be able to slightly rotate.

If not, undo the bolts for the crossmember, and you will be able to move it up/around. You'll eventually find a spot where there will be enough clearance for the mount to come off.

Good luck!

And putting it back on, there's a nice video on the forum somewhere that shows you how to do it in a few minutes smile.gif

remove the trans side mount, get another jack, play with loosening cross member, the jack will play the part in jacking up the motor to create clearance. its all about playing with all those.

yea...you would have to play with the whole crossmember and prioritize the rear. it helps to loosen the subframe also.

Yep these guys are exactly right... here was my experience. I took out the front most motor mount, then with a hoist on the motor so it wouldn't twist or fall , take the bolts out of the crossmember at the front of the car, then bolts out of that back mount. then lift the motor a hair, drop the front of the cross member and try to un sandwich it from the frame and mount. it WILL come out =) Just as fun going back together too
Remember the rear mount bolts are long, they go all the way through the cross member and frame.
