I could really use some help here. For the past couple of weeks I've noticed that after it rains my the carpet in the outer left corner of my trunk will be wet. It didnt bother me at first b/c it wasnt that much and it wasnt getting on my system or anything, so i figured it would just evaporate and be fine. Then I noticed yesterday that the wood particle board stuff the goes over the spare tire was starting to bow up. I took all of the carpet ou8t today and took out the spare tire and found that there was water standing 3-4 inches deep in the area where the spare tires stays. mad.gif frown.gif After freaking out, i found the drain plug in the bottom of the trunk and drained most of the water and towel dried the rest. I closed the trunk and had my dad spray the water hose on it while i found the leak from inside. I cant be sure, but i think it is coming in through the driver's side gasket of my 3 post spoiler. Does anybody have a suggestion on how to fix this or anywhere else it could be coming from. Also, I found a drain line at the base of my antenna. Where should it go to, b/c it was just hanging down in the side compartment filling it w/ water as well.

Yeah I have the same problem, I thought that it was from my old tail light which was leaking. But I also have water down on either side of the car and the drain pipe from the antena I have no idea where it goes to.

I had the same problem. It was the glass. I had to get the rear glass removed and reinstalled. It was not cheap either. 400 cdn but my car no longer smells like mildew. wink.gif

I have the same problem on both sides and can't figure it out. So it is the glass? Could it be anything else cause i really don't want to pay 400 for a new back window

uh, yeah, that's not for new glass, 100 cdn for the seal, 3.2 hours of labour at a glass shop and 40 cdn for 2 urethane sealing kits.

I checked the rubber seal that seals the hatch, the only other thing you may want to check is the wiper motor sealing, but odds are its the glass.

try to find out exactly where its coming from... if its coming from the gasket of the spoiler hole, just silicone around the bottom of it in the trunk...

I have taken off my spoiler and siliconed the hell out of it and then put a small coat around the base when I put it back on. I looked at my trunk lid ( I have a Coupe) and there is no rusting there. I don't know... Im getting frustrated since it has rained alot more this year.

Open for any suggestions. I have a coupe if that helps any

The drain pipe for the antena goes to the outside of the car. There should be a hole in that quarter section where the antena is found heading towards the ground. Poke it through there and you will find it exits outside behind the wheel.
