Really enjoying my BEAMS. Everything else is stock except for GT4 front end, exhaust, wheels, and a fifth gear from an s51 transmission. This gives me 34mpg at 60mph, and reduces the rpm (at 60mph) by 300rpm. Put about 4000k miles on it and couldn't be happier with the performance. It really comes alive at 3800rpm. The swap is expensive (I had a professional mechanic do the swap) but I'm glad I chose the BEAMS. Manny did the front end body and paint work.

That looks awesome! Separate question though...how much does that spoiler block your rear window? I don't have a spoiler on mine because the convertible rear window is so tiny.

Nice one! I also have a Beams powered red Celi with a GT4 front. Not convertible though, and not with paint as good as yours.
Well done. -------------------- |

Love the convertibles! I like the BEAMS engine in that as well, although I have zero experience with them aside from appearance.
I've been thinking about a spoiler for my '97 vert to jazz it up, but can't decide if I like the look. The back of the convertible Celica looks like the designers went on vacation, or just ran out of ideas. I have a couple of ideas, but a spoiler is the easiest bolt on possibilty. |

The car had been repainted some time before I bought it 9 years ago. Manny(pressure2) did the gt4 front conversion and repainted the front 1 year ago. It does stay in the garage most of the time so that helps keep it pretty nice.

hey pgiorgio you may not know since you had a mechanic do the work, but is the beams engine a direct swap in? like will all the lines, hoses, shifter cables, and wiring harness all match the car or did it need a hybrid wiring harness and a bunch more work to make it work? just curious because I am hoping to do a beams swap of my own
