Well I think it's time I get some new struts for my hatch as mine are starting to lose their...strutness. Especially in the cold. So I went around and they would be around 100$ for the pair. I went to the dealership and they wanted 400$ A PIECE for OEM ones. Where can I get some cheaper ones? Are there universal ones that I can get?

Mine are dying as well. especially in the cold Wisconsin winters.
I was looking at some on ebay for about $40.
shouldn't be too bad?
if not, members are usually parting out on here.

I saw the second ones but they don't ship to Canada. Didn't see those first ones though, I'll have a look, thanks!

Joy of Canadian dealership pricing. Unfortunately, even though the U.S. prices are less than half they're still expensive at $165 each from an online Toyota parts department such as Lithia Toyota or http://www.toyotapartscanada.com/

I love RockAuto, more often than not they're the best place to get parts. Once in a blue moon something will be cheaper off eBay.

I actually bought some of those from Lifts Support Depot this summer (from mrlousstuff on ebay). They fit perfectly, worked great and I had them changed out in minutes.

Ended up going with the Monroe struts from RockAuto, paid about 75$ after everything for them. My hatch finally stays open again! tongue.gif
