Well I think it's time I get some new struts for my hatch as mine are starting to lose their...strutness. Especially in the cold. So I went around and they would be around 100$ for the pair. I went to the dealership and they wanted 400$ A PIECE for OEM ones. Where can I get some cheaper ones? Are there universal ones that I can get?

Mine are dying as well. especially in the cold Wisconsin winters.
I was looking at some on ebay for about $40. shouldn't be too bad? if not, members are usually parting out on here. -------------------- *1997 Celica ST - 3SGE Greytop BEAMS *1977 Celica RA29 - Classic Cruiser *2005 Matrix AWD - dedded but still hanging around like a ghost 2019 Rav4 XLE Premium - Sports mode is fun. |

I went to the dealership and they wanted 400$ A PIECE for OEM ones. Joy of Canadian dealership pricing. Unfortunately, even though the U.S. prices are less than half they're still expensive at $165 each from an online Toyota parts department such as Lithia Toyota or http://www.toyotapartscanada.com/ |

I love RockAuto, more often than not they're the best place to get parts. Once in a blue moon something will be cheaper off eBay.

I actually bought some of those from Lifts Support Depot this summer (from mrlousstuff on ebay). They fit perfectly, worked great and I had them changed out in minutes.

Ended up going with the Monroe struts from RockAuto, paid about 75$ after everything for them. My hatch finally stays open again!
